Sanders is a senior at Green Hope High School and does her club swimming for the Marlins of Raleigh.<\/p>\n<p>Sanders has continued to drop time through her senior spring, setting a new personal best in the 100 breaststroke and the 400 IM in March. She also earned a new lifetime best in the 200 IM at her NCHSAA 4A Regional meet in February.<\/p>\n<p>At the 2018 NCHSAA 4A State Championships in February Sanders swam the breaststroke leg of Green Hope&#8217;s sixth place 200 medley relay, and swam on the fourth place 400 freestyle relay. Individually she finished 15th in the 200 IM (2:10.93) and 21st in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.21).<\/p>\n<p>Her best SCY times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100 Breast 1:06.43<\/li>\n<li>200 Breast 2:22.83<\/li>\n<li>200 IM 2:09.84<\/li>\n<li>400 IM 4:38.47<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>She said,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI am thrilled to commit to swim at the University of Illinois!!\u00a0 UIUC offers amazing academic opportunities and a welcoming team atmosphere.
