In a unique qualifying criteria, swimmers will have to hit qualifying marks for the European Championships in the prelims of an event and then finish within the top-4 in finals in order to qualify for France\u2019s European Games roster.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2018-french-national-championships\/international-elite\/2018\/May\/22\">DAY TWO RESULTS<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Day Two Events<\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Women\u2019s 800 Free<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Sharon Van Rouwendaal<\/strong> from the Netherlands won the 800 free in 8:39.19. <strong>Fanny LeSaffre<\/strong> took the second spot in 8:44.31, followed by <strong>Julie Berthier<\/strong> (8:46.49)<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Men\u2019s 200 Fly<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Jordan Coelho<\/strong> surged to the title in the 200 butterfly. He finished in 1:58.52 to finish nearly a second ahead of <strong>Nans<\/strong> <strong>Roch<\/strong> (1:59.45). <strong>Matthias Marsau<\/strong> was third in 2:00.78.<\/p>\n<h3>Women\u2019s 100 Breast<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Fanny Deberghes<\/strong> won the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.29 holding off <strong>Solene Gallego<\/strong> (1:09.57) and <strong>Camille Mallet<\/strong> (1:10.10).<\/p>\n<h3>Men\u2019s 200 IM<\/h3>\n<p>Switzerland\u2019s <strong>Jeremy Desplanches<\/strong> dominated the 200 IM, winning in 1:57.06. Frances\u2019s <strong>Guillaume Laure<\/strong> took second in 2:02.51 and <strong>Geoffrey Renard<\/strong> (2:02.81).<\/p>\n<h3>Women\u2019s 50 Back<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Beryl Gastaldello<\/strong> cruised to victory in the 50 backstroke, winning in 27.97. <strong>Mathilde Cini<\/strong> took second in 28.29, followed by <strong>Camille Gheorghiu<\/strong> in 28.64.<\/p>\n<h3>Men\u2019s 100 Free<\/h3>\n<p>The men\u2019s 100 freestyle was one of the closest races of the day. <strong>Mehdy Metella<\/strong> earned the victory, finishing in 48.42. he held off<strong> Jeremy Stravius<\/strong> (48.90) and<strong> Maxime Grousset<\/strong> (49.57).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2018 French National Championships continued Wednesday in Saint-Raphel, which is serving as the nation\u2019s qualifying meet for the 2018 European Championships in Glasgow later this summer.
