{"id":309429,"date":"2018-05-13T18:34:24","date_gmt":"2018-05-14T01:34:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=309429"},"modified":"2018-05-14T15:50:08","modified_gmt":"2018-05-14T22:50:08","slug":"more-records-fall-on-final-night-of-masters-nationals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/more-records-fall-on-final-night-of-masters-nationals\/","title":{"rendered":"More Records Fall on Final Night of Masters Nationals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2018 U.S. Masters Swimming (USMS) National Championships meet concluded Sunday in Indianapolis.<\/p>\n<p>Several age-group records fell on the final night of competition, including one performer who set a pair.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usms.org\/events\/national-championships\/pool-national-championships\/2018-nationwide-usms-spring-national-championship\/2018-spring-nationals-results-and-team-scores\/2018-spring-nationals-live-event-results\">Night three results.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Clarke Mitchell<\/strong> earned the men\u2019s 85-89 record in the 50 event in 38.14 and also set the mark in the 85-89 200 back in 3:18.52.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katie Glenn<\/strong> set an age-group record in the 100 breaststroke, winning the 40-44 division in 1:02.70. The previous mark was held by <strong>Susan G Von Der Lipp<\/strong>e (1:03.00) in 2008.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dana Brown<\/strong> set the 70-74 record in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:25.63.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Melinda Mann<\/strong> was three hundredths of as second off her own record in the 60-64 100 breaststroke (1:16.58).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Steve West<\/strong> set a 45-49 record to win the 100 breaststroke in 55.69. <strong>Carlo Travaini<\/strong> set the mark in the 55-59 event (57.95).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Traci Grander<\/strong> set the 60-64 record in the 50 fly in 27.93. <strong>Robert Doud<\/strong> set the mark in the 95-99 event in 2:00.71.<\/p>\n<p><strong>David Sims<\/strong> set the mark in the 55-59 200 IM (2:02.25).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katarzyna Wilk<\/strong> set the 25-29 mark in the 50 free in 22.45, topping the previous mark set by <strong>Madison Kennedy<\/strong> (22.62) in 2014.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Willard Lamb<\/strong> set the men\u2019s 95-99 record in the 50 free, finishing in 42.23.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Laura Val<\/strong> set the mark in the 65-69 200 back, finishing in 2:23.88<strong>.
