﻿{"id":309295,"date":"2018-05-12T17:00:18","date_gmt":"2018-05-13T00:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=309295"},"modified":"2018-05-14T15:52:33","modified_gmt":"2018-05-14T22:52:33","slug":"2018-us-masters-nationals-sees-11-more-records-go-down","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/2018-us-masters-nationals-sees-11-more-records-go-down\/","title":{"rendered":"2018 US Masters Nationals Sees 11 More Records Go Down"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 2018 U.S. Masters Swimming (USMS) National Championships meet continued today in Indianapolis, Indiana with a total of 11 USMS records coming down to add to the total of 29 records broken so far throughout the meet. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/results\/2018-us-masters-national-championships-day-3-day-3\/usa-masters\/2018\/May\/11\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018 U.S. Masters National Championships &#8211; Day 3 &#8211; Results<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second day of the meet saw many of the biggest record breakers from the meet continue to add their name to the record books. <\/span><b>Willard Lamb <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of Oregon continued to shatter records in the 95-99 age group, adding two more records to the incredible seven he has already set over the course of the meet. Lamb reset the 100 free mark he took down going out in the mile on friday, dropping it to 1:37.61, and also added the 50 back to his list with a 53.43. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Christie Hayes <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of New England Masters also added to her distance records in the 1000 and 1650 free from friday, setting a new 70-74 mark in the 500 free (6:42.57) to open the session. And <\/span><b>Laura Val <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">continued on her path of resetting the records in the 65-69 age group, taking down the 100 free (57.88) and 50 back (29.65).<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That gives Val four records so far over the course of the meet. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can see a full list of all USMS records set on
