PHOENIX, Arizona, June 14. YESTERDAY, our comment system Disqus launched a fully updated version, which Swimming World users helped beta test during the last month. You will notice some significant changes that will allow even more activity in commenting on our site.<\/p>\n

First and foremost, the new Disqus is fully real-time, from top to bottom, and based on completely new architecture. Conversations stream in live, with sub-second updating — and this happens all within the right context. This includes knowing when someone is in the process of responding.<\/p>\n

Additionally, new voting features have been introduced to the commenting system. These features are rooted in an overhaul about quality discussions within Disqus.<\/p>\n

Another fun feature is the “Discovery Box” located at the bottom of each Disqus comment box. It shows other comments occurring throughout the site that might interest one of our readers as well. <\/p>\n

Also, you have the option to share specific message threads via Twitter, Facebook, or even subscribe to conversations via email notification or RSS feeds. <\/p>\n
