{"id":307500,"date":"2018-04-30T06:06:39","date_gmt":"2018-04-30T13:06:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=307500"},"modified":"2018-04-30T06:06:39","modified_gmt":"2018-04-30T13:06:39","slug":"canada-dominates-mixed-synchro-events-on-home-turf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/canada-dominates-mixed-synchro-events-on-home-turf\/","title":{"rendered":"Canada Dominates Mixed Synchro Events on Home Turf"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Canada and Malaysia broke China&#8217;s dominance this weekend in Montreal, Canada, the host of the penultimate leg of the FINA\/CNSG Diving World Series 2018 held from\u00a0 April 27-29.<\/p>\n<p>The home team pocketed gold in the 3m and 10m mixed events. <strong>Jennifer Abel<\/strong> and <strong>Francois Imbeau-Dulac<\/strong> secured the 3m gold with 325.20, while <strong>Meaghan Benfeito<\/strong> and <strong>Nathan Zsombor-Murray<\/strong> were the best synchronised pair in the 10m (322.08).<\/p>\n<p>Malaysia&#8217;s <strong>Pandelela Pamg<\/strong>\/<strong>Jun Hoong Cheong<\/strong> took the women&#8217;s 10m gold with 322.74 points.<\/p>\n<p>Team China bagged all other gold medals at stake. <strong>Cao Yuan<\/strong> (531.20) and <strong>Qiu Bo<\/strong> (568.15) respectively won the springboard and platform events, while teammates <strong>Xie Siyi<\/strong> (529.30) and <strong>Yang Jian<\/strong> (551.40) secured the silver medals of the same events.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s competition, the gold and silver medals of the individual events were claimed by Chinese divers too.
