Dolan is from Wildwood, Missouri, and has excelled as a member of Rockwood Swim Club.<\/p>\n<p>Dolan was one of an elite group of young swimmers at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2016-us-olympic-swimming-trials\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Olympic Trials<\/a> two summers ago. Then as only a 15 year old <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/15-year-old-jack-dolan-among-trials-qualifiers-at-omaha-cup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dolan qualified for the meet in the 100 backstroke<\/a>. He finished 108th out of 183 men in the event. Dolan carried that momentum into the short course season, where he swam at his first Winter Nationals, finishing fifth overall in the 50 freestyle.<\/p>\n<p>His best SCY times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100 Back 47.10<\/li>\n<li>200 Back 1:43.42<\/li>\n<li>50 Free 19.62<\/li>\n<li>100 Free 43.61<\/li>\n<li>200 Free 1:34.78<\/li>\n<li>200 Fly 1:48.61<\/li>\n<li>100 Fly 46.81<\/li>\n<li>50 Fly 21.71<\/li>\n<li>200 IM 1:51.07<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A 47.10 would have been good for a B final swim in the 100 backstroke at Pac-12s this year. Dolan&#8217;s 200 backstroke best would have finished tenth overall. He&#8217;d also be a B finalist in the 50 freestyle, and just slower than the Sun Devils&#8217; highest finisher-\u00a0<strong>Cameron Craig <\/strong>(19.54).<\/p>\n<p>Dolan wrote in his Instagram announcement,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Very excited to announce that I have verbally committed to continue my academic and swimming career at Arizona State University.
