{"id":307032,"date":"2018-04-23T11:20:07","date_gmt":"2018-04-23T18:20:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=307032"},"modified":"2018-04-23T11:20:07","modified_gmt":"2018-04-23T18:20:07","slug":"chimrova-zhilkin-break-records-in-night-4-of-russian-nationals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/chimrova-zhilkin-break-records-in-night-4-of-russian-nationals\/","title":{"rendered":"Chimrova, Zhilkin Break Records in Night 4 of Russian Nationals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Day four of the 2018 Russian Swimming Championships was another fast one.<\/p>\n<p>The meet in Moscow will serve as the selection meet for this year\u2019s European Championships which will be held August 3-12 in Glasgow, Scotland.<\/p>\n<h3>Women\u2019s 1500 Free<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Anna Egorova<\/strong> won the 1500 free in 16:30.89 in what turned out to be a very close race with<strong> Anastasia Kirpichnikova<\/strong> (16:40.16). <strong>Yana Kurtseva<\/strong> was third in 16:46.05.<\/p>\n<h3>Women\u2019s 200 Fly<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Svetlana Chimrova<\/strong> won the 200 fly in 2:07.54, earning a Russian record and utterly dominated the field. She finished seven seconds ahead of <strong>Marina Namazov<\/strong>, who was runner-up in 2:14.33.<strong> Maria Arseneva<\/strong> was third in 2:15.86.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Back<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Evgeny Rylov<\/strong> won the 100 back in 52.67 ahead of <strong>Clement Klesnikov<\/strong>, who set an age-group mark at 52.97. <strong>Gregory Tarasevich<\/strong> was third in 53.48.<\/p>\n<h3>Men\u2019s 200 Breast<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Anton Chupkov<\/strong> won the 200 breast in 2:07.81, holding off the rest of the field.<\/p>\n<h3>Men\u2019s 200 IM<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Andrey Zhilkin<\/strong> won the 200 IM in 1:58.17, setting a national record in the event. He finished more than a second ahead of runner-up Semyon Makovych (1:59.27). Alexander Osipenko was third in 1:59.76.<\/p>\n<h3>Women\u2019s 200 Free<\/h3>\n<p>Veronika Andrusenko dominated to win the 200 free, finishing in 1:56.07, nearly two seconds ahead of runner-up Victoria Andreeva (1:57.87). Valeria Salmatina was third (1:58.23).<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow\u2019s finals will include the women\u2019s 100 back and 200 breast and the men\u2019s 200 free and 100 butterfly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Day four of the 2018 Russian Swimming Championships was another fast one.
