NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>While still only April, the Indiana University women’s Class of 2023 has already grown to three.\u00a0Ryley Ober\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Ashley Turak\u00a0<\/strong>have both given their verbal commitments to the team.\u00a0They’ll join\u00a0Emily Weiss<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as the Hoosiers’ newest athletes on campus in fall 2019.<\/p>\n

Ryley Ober<\/h2>\n

A four time Florida high school state champion, Ober is a junior at Bayshore High School. She swims for Sarasota Tsunami Swim Team and is a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.<\/p>\n

Her top times are:<\/p>\n

  • 100 Free 50.39<\/li>\n
  • 200 Free 1:47.16<\/li>\n
  • 500 Free 4:47.87<\/li>\n
  • 200 Back 1:47.16<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    This fall at the Florida 2A High School state championships<\/a> Ober won the 100 and 200 freestyles. She also won the 200 as a sophomore.<\/p>\n

From the amazing coaching staff and teammates, to the great education, to the beautiful campus, IU is everything I was looking for. I can’t wait to join the Hoosier family and to see what the future holds!”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    Ashley Turak<\/h2>\n

    Turak is from Famington Hills, Michigan. She trains with Drop Aquatics and is a junior at Harrison High School.<\/p>\n

    In the fall Turak set the Michigan High School Division 1<\/a> 50 freestyle record, touching in 22.38. She also won the 100 freestyle state title and was a key member of the winning 200 and 400 freestyle relays.<\/p>\n
