Ziegler out-touched Trojan's Haley Anderson, 2:01.72 to 2:01.93, to win the evening's first event, the women's 200 free. Trojan's Lynette Lim finished third in 2:03.01. <\/p>\n
In the men's 50 free, Joey Hale of the Redlands Swim Team beat the field with a time of 23.14. Colombia's Marco Gonzalez (23.25) and Juan Arbelaez (23.35) rounded out the top three. <\/p>\n
Trojan's Tyler Harris ran away with the men's 400 IM, dropping ten seconds off his prelim time and posting a 4:20.59. Aquazot's Corey Okubo finished a distant second in 4:26.06, with Young Tae Seo of Palo Alto in third (4:30.57). In the women's 400 IM, Trojan's Haley Anderson nearly chased down Rattler's Andrea Kropp in the final 50, but Kropp held on to win in 4:47.30. Anderson took second in 4:48.99, while Golden West's Megan Rankin was third (4:49.61). Notably, Novaquatics' Ella Eastin would have placed second with her 4:48.42 from the B-final.<\/p>\n
Rising star Maclin Davis of Nashville Aquatic Club posted the quickest time in the men's 100 fly in 54.63. Dane Stassi (55.42) and David Seiler of Team Rebel Aquatics (55.62) finished second and third. According to Beth Harris, Australian Nick D'Arcy, who had earned the top seed in the event, missed the final while in the bathroom feeling ill.<\/p>\n
Australian teenager Joshua Beaver took the men's 200 back title in 1:59.31, the only swimmer under 2-minutes. Fellow countryman Matson Lawson was second in 2:01.39, and Ashley Delaney made it a sweep for the Aussies with a 2:01.81. UC-San Diego's Alexandra Henley won a close 200 back final on the women's side, as only .76 separated the top four. Henley finished in 2:17.20, while Team Rebel Aquatics' Dannica Brennan got 2:17.51. Yulduz Kuchkarova of Redlands placed third (2:17.66). Hannah Ross of Wisconsin Aquatics actually had the fastest time of the night at 2:16.66, which she swam in the B-final.<\/p>\n
