Without the Stanford women, it is the perfect opportunity for swimmers to step up and get their name heard.<\/p>\n<p>Vietnam&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Vien Nguyen\u00a0<\/strong>took advantage of that with a victory in the 400 IM on Thursday night at the Mesa Pro Swim Series in Arizona. Nguyen swam a 4:44.68 to win the final ahead of Duke&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Connie Dean\u00a0<\/strong>(4:46.63).
