The clip highlights one of its central characters, former US National team member and Olympian <strong>Tom Wilkens<\/strong>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/260407488\"><span style=\"color: #1155cc;\"><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><u>https:\/\/vimeo.com\/260407488<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Wilkens is the subject of the 2001 book \u201cGold in the Water,\u201d written by P.H. Mullen, which chronicles the legendary pro group at the Santa Clara Swim Club in the late 1990\u2019s, and is the original source material for the documentary. The film also<\/span><\/span> follows 2016 Olympic silver medalist<strong> Connor Jaeger<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">, who is from the same hometown as Wilkens.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The release of the clip coincides with a call for support from the filmmakers to help finish the project. Last week the crew launched an online campaign via the platform Seed &amp; Spark. The campaign has two components: fundraising and audience building. Within the next three weeks, the crew hopes to:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Raise $6,000 (the campaign has already met this goal)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Gain 1,000 \u201cfollowers\u201d for their campaign. *Becoming a follower does NOT require a donation<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Trebuchet MS,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Should the campaign reach these two milestones, they qualify for additional financial aid and marketing support to release the film.
