She came in to win the event in 2:22.02, moving all the way up to 18th all-time in the event. Schoenmaker broke the African record of 2:23.21 set by countrywoman\u00a0<strong>Suzaan van Biljon<\/strong> in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>England&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Molly Renshaw\u00a0<\/strong>took silver in 2:23.28, overtaking Wales&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Chloe Tutton\u00a0<\/strong>down the stretch. Tutton, who led after 100 meters, finished in 2:23.42.
