FOR 20 years, the NCAA has instituted a cap on the number of men and women who can attend the annual spring national championships. That cap has stayed pretty close to 322 females and 270 males, though the actual number of swimmers who participate each year is often well below that.<\/p>\n<p>Even though the cap is rarely reached, should there be a limit to the number of swimmers who are allowed to compete at the NCAA championships? We&#039;ll let you know what our readers think in next Friday&#039;s show.<\/p>\n<p>A few Canadian swimmers could be on the medal podium at the Olympics in July, but just how many medals will our neighbors to the north win? By the slimmest of margins in our last poll, 30.70 percent believed Canada could win two medals, and 29.82 percent believed they could win three or more.
