Larkin, the 2015 World Champion in the event, finished in 53.18, just off\u00a0<strong>Chris Walker-Hebborn&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>Games record of 53.12 set four years ago.<\/p>\n<p>The Aussie men finished 1-2 with\u00a0<strong>Bradley Woodward\u00a0<\/strong>taking second in 53.95. Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Markus Thormeyer\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed the bronze in 54.14.<\/p>\n<p>England&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Luke Greenbank\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed fourth in 54.37, and Wales&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Xavier Castelli\u00a0<\/strong>took fifth in 54.60, just ahead of Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ben Treffers\u00a0<\/strong>(54.62).
