Per a report from\u00a0<em>Sports Business Daily<\/em>, she will be represented by\u00a0<strong>Dan Levy <\/strong>and <strong>Lindsay Kagawa Colas\u00a0<\/strong>of Wasserman.<\/p>\n<p>SBD wrote that Ledecky chose Wasserman after evaluating all major sponsorship agencies because of the organization&#8217;s experience representing athletes like soccer stars\u00a0<strong>Abby Wambach<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Alex Morgan<\/strong> and USA Olympic hockey gold medalist\u00a0<strong>Hilary Knight<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Below is what Levy and Ledecky had to say about the partnership, according to SBD:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAdding Katie is an incredibly impactful opportunity for us to continue our legacy of representing the very best and brightest female athletes in their sport,\u201d Levy said. \u201cHaving someone who\u2019s so young, accomplished so much and still has so much ahead of them, and can be this iconic force in her sport, those athletes don\u2019t come around very often. So we\u2019re clearly thrilled, and don\u2019t take that responsibility lightly at all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI felt really comfortable with them and liked that both are experienced working with many of the top female athletes in sport and are able to utilize all of the different resources that Wasserman has to offer,\u201d Ledecky said in an email. \u201cFinally, I had the chance to meet <strong>Casey<\/strong> (<strong>Wasserman<\/strong>) at a few Olympic-related events, and aside from his passion for the Olympic movement, it is comforting to know that his name is on the door and he will be there to support me throughout my career.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The SBD article goes on to speculate as to some of Ledecky&#8217;s first moves in her professional career. She will be the top name that swimwear brands will look to sign, even with the likes of\u00a0<strong>Caeleb Dressel\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Chase Kalisz<\/strong> also seeking their first apparel deal. SBD wrote that &#8220;one\u00a0industry insider thinks Speedo, which sponsors Ledecky\u2019s hometown team, Nation\u2019s Capital Swim Club, has the inside track.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ledecky also spoke with the\u00a0<em>Washington Post\u00a0<\/em>about taking &#8220;a balanced approach to my business.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I will be seeking the support of sponsors who understand my commitment to training, to my education and to my growth as a person.
