This mark blew away the old record, held by Texas, of 2:45.39.<\/p>\n<p>That 41.09 lead-off leg from Held marks him as the sixth fastest performer in history, just .01 behind fellow US national-teamer\u00a0<strong>Nathan Adrian<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Indiana&#8217;s squad threw down a 2:47.11 to earn the second spot heading into tonight&#8217;s A final with the Texas Longhorns right behind in the third seed with a 2:47.31.
