Events included the 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 backstroke, 200 butterfly, 800 freestyle relay, and 1000 freestyle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Breeja<\/strong> Larson won two events, the women&#8217;s 100 freestyle and the women&#8217;s 200 breaststroke. Young talent abounded at the meet, with many swimmers earning Junior National A cuts.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of night one of competition, Scottsdale Aquatic Club sits in first place atop team rankings with 990 points, followed by Mesa Aquatics Club with 624, and host Phoenix Swim Club with 602.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Free<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Breeja Larson<\/strong>, representing NYAC, took the 100-yard freestyle title ahead of Scottsdale Aquatics youngsters <strong>Claire Grover<\/strong> and <strong>Greer Pattison<\/strong>. Larson touched in 49.21 to top second-place Grover&#8217;s time of 49.62. Farrar was the only competitor under 45 flat, as Saint Louis University&#8217;s <strong>Grant Gamroth<\/strong> was second in 45.04. <strong>Jadan Nabor<\/strong> of YMCA Westside Silver Fins nabbed the bronze with a 45.25.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christopher Allen<\/strong> of Mesa Aquatics Club was fourth in 45.60, under the B cut of 45.79. Her time of 2:04.76 blew away the competition of young swimmers; 13-year-old <strong>Mary Codevilla<\/strong> of Flatiron Athletic Club touched second in 2:12.08, followed by her teammate and fellow 13-year-old<strong> Chase Davison<\/strong> in 2:12.11 for the bronze. Teammates\u00a0<strong>Jarod Arroyo<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>Juan Jose Garcia Mesa<\/strong> of Pitchfork Aquatic Club both dipped under the 2:00.00 mark as well, with Arroyo earning the silver in 1:59.47, and Garcia Mesa the bronze in 1:59.48.
