Caeleb Dressel<\/strong> became the first swimmer to crack 18 seconds in the men\u2019s 50 free as the leadoff of Florida\u2019s 4×50 free relay<\/a>, splitting a 17.81.<\/p>\n

But he didn\u2019t stop there. Not too long after, he sprinted his way to a blazing-fast 17.63 in his individual 50 free, crushing the NCAA and American record<\/a> he had just set yet again.<\/p>\n

The senior revealed that his goal time heading into this meet was a 17.6, but said that there is always room to improve and never wants to be complacent.<\/p>\n

Dressel also discussed how he embraces the pressure by being in control of his emotions behind the blocks. He doesn\u2019t let his emotions get the best of him and said he ignores what other people expect of him by setting his own expectations.<\/p>\n
