Blue Devil\u2019s <strong>Tylor Mathieu <\/strong>dropped over 11 seconds to finish third in 10:04.39.<\/p>\n<p>Weston\u2019s <strong>Kristin Cornish <\/strong>(10:04.59), Seacoast\u2019s <strong>Emma Whall <\/strong>(10:11.67), Victor\u2019s <strong>Taryn Wisner <\/strong>(10:14.54), Morris County\u2019s <strong>Grace Miller <\/strong>(10:18.65) and Long Island\u2019s <strong>Mary McKenna <\/strong>(10:19.52) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<p>Fifteen-year-old Plage of Aquabears finished first in the men\u2019s 1650 free with a time of 15:30.65 after dropped seven seconds from his previous personal best.<\/p>\n<p>Victor\u2019s <strong>Kai Wisner <\/strong>grabbed the silver medal in 15:32.52 and Purple Valley\u2019s <strong>Cole Kuster <\/strong>earned the bronze in 15:35.05.<\/p>\n<p>Charter Oak\u2019s <strong>Adam Zapatka <\/strong>(15:40.95), SoCo\u2019s <strong>Alfred Hansen <\/strong>(15:47.43), Ridgefield\u2019s <strong>Connor Hunt <\/strong>(15:47.58), X-Cel\u2019s <strong>Michael Krigeris <\/strong>(15:51.71) and Blue Devil\u2019s <strong>Mcallistar Milne <\/strong>(15:56.95) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<p>Prelims for the first full day of competition will begin tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. EST.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elizabeth Boeckman and James Plage each won the opening distance events on night one of the 2018 Speedo Sectionals Championship Series in Ithaca, NY.
