Katie Ledecky\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Simone Manuel\u00a0<\/strong>both played crucial roles in helping Stanford win their second-consecutive NCAA title.\u00a0Although they both reveal that they didn’t have the individual meets they wanted, they each love helping their teammates reach their goals.<\/p>\n

Ledecky discusses her relationship with training partner\u00a0Katie Drabot<\/strong>, who made it a goal of hers to go 1-2 in the 500 free. She also says that she swims for her teammates and put together the best swim she could in the moment, despite having highs and lows this weekend.<\/p>\n

Manuel says that although it wasn’t exactly how she wanted her last meet as a Cardinal to go, she still put her best foot forward and did it for the team. She cites the supportive training environment at Stanford and that each team member knows what one another is capable of.<\/p>\n

Both Ledecky and Manuel are relishing the fact that they just won a National Championship…but have to hit the books tomorrow to prepare for exams next week.<\/p>\n
