{"id":301173,"date":"2018-03-17T18:36:15","date_gmt":"2018-03-18T01:36:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=301173"},"modified":"2019-01-25T11:05:46","modified_gmt":"2019-01-25T18:05:46","slug":"ella-eastin-named-cscaa-swimmer-of-the-meet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ella-eastin-named-cscaa-swimmer-of-the-meet\/","title":{"rendered":"Ella Eastin Named CSCAA Swimmer of the Meet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Stanford junior\u00a0<strong>Ella Eastin\u00a0<\/strong>won the CSCAA swimmer of the meet award after winning the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ella-eastin-smashes-ncaa-american-record-in-200-im-kathleen-baker-also-under\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">200 IM<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ella-eastin-defeats-katie-ledecky-in-400-im-destroys-ncaa-and-american-record\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">400 IM<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ella-eastin-katie-drabot-go-1-2-for-stanford-in-200-fly-final\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">200 fly<\/a>, as well as swimming on the winning <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/katie-ledecky-pulls-away-for-stanford-win-in-4x200-free-relay-to-open-ncaas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">800 free<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/stanford-becomes-third-womens-team-to-sweep-ncaa-relays-with-400-free-relay-win\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">400 free<\/a>\u00a0relays.<\/p>\n<p>Eastin crushed the American and NCAA records in the 200 and 400 IM as the junior has won a total of seven individual NCAA titles in her three years.<\/p>\n<p>The CSCAA swimming coach of the year went to Stanford&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Greg Meehan<\/strong> after his team won with 593 points.<\/p>\n<p>The diver of the year was Northwestern&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Olivia Rosendahl\u00a0<\/strong>and her coach\u00a0<strong>Alik Sarkisian\u00a0<\/strong>won diving coach of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Rosendahl won the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/olivia-rosendahl-wins-back-to-back-platform-diving-titles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">platform diving<\/a> event and was B-final champion in 3-meter and was eighth in the 1-meter final.
