During his 29 seasons, he piled up over 377 dual victories, six conference titles and combined to finish in the top three of conference meets 24 times in 54 competitions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe are incredibly appreciative for the almost 30 years that John has devoted to Delaware and this swimming and diving program, \u201c Director of Athletics and Recreation Services\u00a0<strong>Chrissi Rawak<\/strong>\u00a0said. \u201cHe has impacted so many people during his time here and we wish him continued success in all of his future endeavors on campus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During his tenure, the Blue Hens combined record in dual meets was 377-258 (.594) and he was awarded seven conference Coach of the Year accolades (1992, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2008).\u00a0 Over 60 Blue Hens won conference champions, including five Mid-Major All-Americans and 2002 NCAA championship diving participant Julie Van Deusen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Having hired John, it has been my privilege to be a part of his career here at Delaware,\u201d said former University of Delaware Director of Athletics, Johnson.\u00a0 \u201cJohn is an outstanding coach but more importantly he is a gentleman who cares about his student-athletes above all else.\u00a0 He and his contributions to the University\u2019s Athletics Program will be missed. I wish him well as he transitions back to the faculty and the joys of teaching inside the classroom.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prior to becoming a Blue Hen, he spent three seasons at Gannon (Pa.)
