The meet will be held March 21-24 at the University of Minnesota.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2018-mens-ncaa-div-i-pre-selection-psych-sheets\/ncaa-college\/2018\/March\/21\" target=\"_blank\">2018 Men&#8217;s NCAA Division I Pre-Selection Psych Sheets<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Despite setting new American records at the SEC Championships in both the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/caeleb-dressel-crushes-american-record-in-200-im\/\" target=\"_blank\">200 IM<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/caeleb-dressel-posts-50-03-in-100-breast-beats-americanncaa-record-by-0-01\/\" target=\"_blank\">100 Breaststroke<\/a>, Florida and NCAA standout <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/page\/4\/?s=caeleb+dressel\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong><\/a> will compete in the 100 Butterfly at this year&#8217;s NCAA Championships. While he holds the top seed in his signature sprint freestyle events, he currently ranks 78th in the fly with a seed time of 46.89. The time is from the All-Florida Invite in September. Last year, Dressel won the event in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/caeleb-dressel-dethrones-joseph-schooling-100-fly-for-american-record\/\" target=\"_blank\">American-Record time of 43.58<\/a> and followed up his victory with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/caeleb-dressel-just-misses-michael-phelps-100-fly-world-record\/\" target=\"_blank\">gold medal in this event<\/a> at the 2017 World Championships.<\/p>\n<p>He will be heavily challenged by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?s=joseph+schooling\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Joseph Schooling<\/strong><\/a> and his own resume of NCAA and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/joseph-schooling-wins-singapores-first-ever-olympic-swimming-medal-with-100-fly-victory\/\" target=\"_blank\">international success<\/a>. The Longhorn currently holds the top seed in 44.78. He also holds the fourth seed in the 200 Butterfly\u00a0and will compete in the 50 Freestyle. Teammate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?s=austin+katz\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Austin Katz<\/strong><\/a> came in with the top seed in the 200 Backstroke in 1:38.49.<\/p>\n<p>The Indiana men claimed five top seeds\u00a0including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?s=ian+finnerty\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Ian Finnerty<\/strong><\/a> (100\/200 Breaststroke) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?s=vini+lanza\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Vini Lanza<\/strong><\/a> (200 Butterfly). NC State combined for four\u00a0from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?s=anton+ipsen\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Anton Ipsen<\/strong><\/a> (1650 Freestyle) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?s=coleman+stewart\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Coleman Stewart<\/strong><\/a> (100 Backstroke) as well as the sprint freestyle relays. Auburn also claimed multiple top spots as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?s=hugo+gonzalez\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Hugo Gonzalez<\/strong><\/a> claimed the fastest time in both IM events.<\/p>\n<p>Harvard&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?s=dean+farris\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Dean Farris<\/strong><\/a> will look to improve on his fourth place finish in the 200 Freestyle from 2017. He will head into the meet with the fastest seed time for the second year in a row.
