GREENSBORO, North Carolina, March 10. THE USA Swimming Sectionals in Greensboro have certainly been a showcase meet for the SwimMAC postgrads as several put up world-ranked times in North Carolina tonight. <\/p>\n

SwimMAC's Nick Thoman earned the men's 100 back crown in 53.74, while teammate Eugene Godsoe finished second in 54.48. Thoman hopped to fifth in the world with his effort. Godsoe improved to 15th with his swim. Tommy Wyher placed third in 56.30. Kathleen Baker earned the women's 100 back title in 1:02.55, while Dynamo's Kylie Stewart finished second in 1:02.93. SwimMAC's Heather Merritt wound up third in 1:03.84. <\/p>\n

SwimMAC's Micah Lawrence topped the women's 200 breast in 2:27.11, jumping up to 10th in the world rankings with the swim. Justine Mueller finished second in 2:32.76, while Virginia Gators' Won Sin Hye picked up third in 2:35.01. SwimMAC's Eric Knight (2:17.57) and Nelson Westby (2:19.21) finished second and third in the men's 20 breast. Dynamo's Gunnar Bentz placed third in 2:22.13. <\/p>\n

In a heavy-hitting SwimMAC finale, Josh Schneider downed teammate Nick Brunelli and Cullen Jones for the men's 50 free title. Schneider clocked a 22.40 to win, while Brunelli took second in 22.66 and Jones placed third in 22.75. SwimMAC's Madison Kennedy checked in with a 25.29 to win the women's 50 free, moving to 17th in the world rankings with the swim. Jane Trepp took second in 25.54, while SwimMAC's Andrea Georoff earned third in 25.87. <\/p>\n

GCAT's Patricia Forrester won the women's 200 fly in 2:15.02, while SwimMAC's Kate Mills took second in 2:15.25. Gold's Lauren Case wound up third in 2:15.81. SwimMAC's Davis Tarwater snared the men's 200 fly crown in 1:59.76, while UNC's Dominick Glavich touched second in 2:01.48. Harry Harpham placed third in 2:02.88. <\/p>\n

Caty Hulsey edged Rachel Muller, 4:21.23 to 4:21.33, in the women's 400 free. Rays' Rebecca Postoll placed third in 4:21.44.
