The Bears finished with 857.5\u00a0points for their 20<sup>th<\/sup> overall team title.<\/p>\n<p>Eastern Michigan took second with 807 points, followed by Miami Ohio (740), Southern Illinois (476.5), Evansville (203) and Ball State (190).<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2018-mens-mac-championships-full-results\/ncaa-college\/2018\/February\/28?rtn=%2Fresults%2Fncaa-college%3Fpage%3D1%26orderBy%3DResult.MeetStartDateTime%26sortDirection%3D1%26q%3D\" target=\"_blank\">Full Results<\/a><\/h3>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 1650 Free<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>For the second straight year, Missouri State\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Antonio Thomas <\/strong>was named champion in the mile. The sophomore, who also won the 500 earlier this weekend, finished with a final time of 15:09.84. He is still the current MAC record holder with his 14:56.02 swum last year at this meet.<\/p>\n<p>His teammate\u00a0<strong>Minki Kang\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 15:15.13 and Southern Illinois\u00a0<strong>Kevin Kluge <\/strong>took third in 15:20.33.<\/p>\n<p>Southern Illinois\u00a0<strong>Michael Wolfe <\/strong>(15:24.53), Missouri State\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Kevin Douglas <\/strong>(15:35.41), Southern Illinois\u2019\u00a0<strong>Christopher Cole <\/strong>(15:36.41), Miami Ohio\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Austin Theobald <\/strong>(15:37.98) and Miami Ohio\u2019s\u00a0<strong>James McGuire <\/strong>(15:48.84) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 200 Back<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Eastern Michigan\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Tosh Kawaguchi <\/strong>won the 200 back for the second-straight year, taking first by nearly two seconds. The junior stopped the clock in 1:44.54 to complete his backstroke sweep.<\/p>\n<p>His teammate\u00a0<strong>Matan Segal <\/strong>finished second in 1:44.54 and Southern Illinois\u00a0<strong>Alex Crawford <\/strong>was third in 1:46.19.<\/p>\n<p>Miami Ohio\u2019s\u00a0<strong>James Wray <\/strong>(1:46.24), Miami Ohio\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Justin Andrews <\/strong>(1:46.72), Missouri State\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Will Frisbie <\/strong>(1:46.81), Eastern Michigan\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Ricky Perez <\/strong>(1:47.06) and Missouri State\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Conner Ripp <\/strong>(1:48.00) rounded out the A-final.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 100 Free<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Eastern Michigan freshman <strong>Carter Swift <\/strong>cruised to victory in the 100 free, stopping the clock in a quick 43.90. This is his second individual MAC title after winning the 200 free earlier this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>His teammate<strong>\u00a0Jake Tyson <\/strong>finished second in 44.23 and Missouri State&#8217;s <strong>Lucas Paloschi <\/strong>took third in\u00a044.24.<\/p>\n<p>Miami Ohio\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Diego Valentim <\/strong>(44.71), Missouri State\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Samuel Senn <\/strong>(44.81), Miami Ohio\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Nick Ward <\/strong>(44.84), Miami Ohio\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Ross Westrick <\/strong>(44.96) and Missouri State\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Will Brand\u00a0<\/strong>(45.83) also swam in the fastest heat.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 200 Breast<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>After finishing seventh in this event in 2017, Miami Ohio\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Hutch Blackstone <\/strong>got his hands to the<strong> wall<\/strong> first in the 200 breast. The senior won gold in a time of 1:55.24.<\/p>\n<p>Missouri State teammates <strong>Artur Osvath <\/strong>grabbed the silver in 1:55.29 and <strong>Blair Bish\u00a0<\/strong>took bronze in 1:56.29.<\/p>\n<p>Missouri State\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Christopher Heye <\/strong>(1:56.76), Eastern Michigan\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Ben Gingher <\/strong>(1:59.39), Eastern Michigan\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Matthew Tsenkov <\/strong>(1:59.66), Missouri State&#8217;s <strong>Nicholas Theunissen <\/strong>(1:59.66) and Southern Illinois\u2019\u00a0<strong>Chris Phillips <\/strong>(1:59.72) rounded out the A-finalists.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 200 Fly<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Eastern Michigan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Parker Saladin <\/strong>dropped nearly four seconds from his entry time to win the final individual swimming event of the weekend. The sophomore won with a final time of 1:45.48.<\/p>\n<p>Miami Ohio\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Iago Moussalem do Amaral <\/strong>touched the wall second in 1:45.73 and Missouri State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kacper Cwiek <\/strong>finished third in 1:46.71.<\/p>\n<p>Missouri State\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Phillip Willett <\/strong>(1:47.39), Miami Ohio\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Kayky Mota <\/strong>(1:47.41), Eastern Michigan\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Logan Burton <\/strong>(1:47.70), Miami Ohio\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Spencer Klinsky <\/strong>(1:48.17) and Southern Illinois\u2019\u00a0<strong>Michael Wolfe\u00a0<\/strong>(1:50.12) also swam in the A-final.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 3-Meter Diving<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Eastern Michigan swept the podium in the 3-meter diving, led by <strong>Al&#8217;x Pierre<\/strong> dove to first in the 3-meter\u00a0diving with a total score of 304.85. This is the freshman\u2019s second\u00a0win of the meet after sweeping both diving events.<\/p>\n<p>His teammates <strong>Thomas Gillis <\/strong>took second in 330.65 and <strong>Noah Galluzzo\u00a0<\/strong>finished third with 329.35 points.<\/p>\n<p>Miami Ohio\u2019s <strong>Harrison Moncino<\/strong> (326.85), Eastern Michigan\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Peter Rusenas <\/strong>(319.55), Miami Ohio\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Ryan Nash <\/strong>(296.20), Southern Illinois\u2019\u00a0<strong>Kai Hoffman-Dussome <\/strong>(283.00) and Missouri State\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Michael Claunch <\/strong>(269.40) also dove in the A-final.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 4\u00d7100 Free Relay<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Eastern Michigan\u2019s\u00a0Swift<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>(43.65), <strong>Alec Hoch<\/strong>\u00a0(45.24), Kawaguchi<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>(44.99) and Tyson\u00a0(43.50) cruised to first in the meet\u2019s final event with a time of 2:57.38.
