Read below for detailed event-by-event coverage of the session.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2018-tyr-pro-swim-series-atlanta-day-two-prelims\/usa-senior-national\/2018\/March\/1\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Full results<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Women&#8217;s 50 Free<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Mission Viejo&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Margo Geer\u00a0<\/strong>laid down by far the top time of the morning with a 25.02. That was more than four tenths better than Athens Bulldog&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Olivia Smoliga<\/strong>, who took second in 25.46, and Louisville&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mallory Comerford<\/strong>, who was third in 25.48.<\/p>\n<p>Cal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Farida Osman<\/strong> took fourth in 25.49, ahead of\u00a0<strong>Lia Neal\u00a0<\/strong>(25.56) and then a tie between Trojan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anika Apostalon<\/strong> and\u00a0HPC Ontario&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kayla Sanchez\u00a0<\/strong>at 25.58. Second behind Andrew was Cal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nathan Adrian<\/strong>, the 2016 Olympic silver medalist in the event, and third was 2017 World Championships silver medalist\u00a0<strong>Bruno Fratus<\/strong>. The world record-holder in the 200 free is not swimming her signature event in Atlanta but has begun racing more and more backstroke late in her career.<\/p>\n<p>A pair of Canadians qualified second and third, with HPC-Ontario&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Taylor Ruck\u00a0<\/strong>(2:13.02) and HPC-Victoria&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jade Hannah\u00a0<\/strong>(2:13.63). SwimMAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sinclair Larson\u00a0<\/strong>took fourth in 2:14.02, making her the top American in the morning.<\/p>\n<p>Argentina&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrea Berrino<\/strong> took fifth in 2:16.17, followed by 14-year-old\u00a0<strong>Mariah Denigan<\/strong> of the Northern Kentucky Clippers (2:16.82). Wang finished in 1:57.80, well ahead of Ruck (1:59.35) and Smith (1:59.45).<\/p>\n<p>St. Petersburg&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Melanie Margalis<\/strong> also broke 2:00, qualifying fourth in 1:59.85, followed by Louisville&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mallory Comerford\u00a0<\/strong>(2:00.77) and\u00a0<strong>Lia Neal\u00a0<\/strong>(2:01.54).<\/p>\n<p>Two more Canadians, Toronto Swim Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Penny Oleksiak\u00a0<\/strong>(2:01.74) and HPC-Ontario&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kayla Sanchez\u00a0<\/strong>(2:02.06), also got into the top eight, and a fifth Canadian,\u00a0<strong>Erika Seltenrich<\/strong>, will also get into the championship final after Comerford scratches. Flickinger posted a time of 4:43.28, ahead of\u00a0Cox (4:44.98) and St. Petersburg&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Melanie Margalis<\/strong> (4:47.58).<\/p>\n<p>14-year-old\u00a0<strong>Mariah Denigan\u00a0<\/strong>made her second final of the day for the Northern Kentucky Clippers, finishing fourth in 4:48.17. He finished ahead of three men who have all won NCAA titles in the event and one of whom is the reigning World Champion.<\/p>\n<p>Longhorn&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Will Licon\u00a0<\/strong>qualified second behind Abruzzo in 4:24.36, followed by Athens Bulldog&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chase Kalisz<\/strong> in 4:25.35.
