The meet has been quiet with a lot of USA&#8217;s amateur swimmers sitting out due to the upcoming NCAA Championships. But plenty of international swimmers have come to the 1996 Olympic pool to make some noise in early March.<\/p>\n<p>Efimova had the lead early but was run down by Canadian Olympian\u00a0<strong>Kierra Smith\u00a0<\/strong>who won the final at 2:24.04. Smith ran down Efimova with a 36.96 last 50 split. Efimova was second at 2:24.42.
