The second day of the Pac-12 Men’s Championships is underway with three morning prelim events.<\/p>\n

DAY 2 PRELIMS RESULTS<\/a><\/p>\n

500 Free<\/h3>\n

Stanford’s Liam Egan<\/strong> took the top seed in the 500 free, finishing in 4:15.61, leading a 1-2-3-4 finish for the Cardinal. Teammate Johann Calloni<\/strong> took the second seed at 4:17.22, followed by Grant Shoults<\/strong> (4:17.47) and Matthew Hirschberger<\/strong> (4:17.50).<\/p>\n

Egan was two seconds ahead, but the next three Stanford swimmers finished less than half a second apart. Stanford’s James Murphy<\/strong> also took the seventh seed (4:18.53).<\/p>\n

Cal’s Sean Grieshop<\/strong> took the fifth seed (4:17.87), followed by teammate Nick Norman<\/strong> (4:18.16). Arizona’s Brendan Meyer<\/strong> took the eighth seed (4:19.05).<\/p>\n

Cal and Stanford each put four swimmers in the final of the 200 IM and it went in groups of twos.<\/p>\n
Matthew Josa<\/strong> took the top seed (1:42.08) for the Golden Bears, followed by teammate Andrew Seliskar<\/strong> (1:42.39).<\/p>\n
Then it was the Stanford duo of Curtis Ogren<\/strong> (1:44.25) and Abrahm DeVine<\/strong> (1:44.31) going 4-5.<\/p>\n
Cal’s Trenton Julian<\/strong> (1:44.59) and Michael Thomas<\/strong> (1:44.60) went 5-6 and Stanford’s Alex Liang<\/strong> (1:44.81) and Jack Walsh<\/strong> (1:44.96) went 7-8.<\/p>\n

Cal’s sprinting depth capped a fast day of prelims as the Golden Bears took the top seed as well as 3-4-5 in the 50 free.<\/p>\n
Justin Lynch<\/strong> took the top seed in 19.10, followed by USC’s Santo Condorelli<\/strong> (19.22).<\/p>\n
Cal’s Pawel Sendyk<\/strong> (19.33), Michael Jensen<\/strong> (19.36) and Ryan Hoffer<\/strong> (10.46) went 3-4-5.<\/p>\n
Stanford’s Alberto Mestre<\/strong> (19.51), took the sixth seed, followed by Arizona’s Chatham Dobbs<\/strong> (19.52) and USC’s Dylan Carter<\/strong> (19.56).<\/p>\n
