BOULDER, Colorado, February 26. MULTIPLE NCAA records fell this weekend courtesy of some lightning fast swims at the Pac-12 and Big-12 conference meets.<\/p>\n

The California Golden Bears took home the women's Pac 12 championship crown with 1,389.5 points after a tight four-day battle with Stanford. The Cardinal finished in second place with 1,341.5 points while the USC Trojans earned third place (1,225 points).<\/p>\n

Caitlin Leverenz took home Swimmer of the Meet honors after rocketing to wins in the 400 IM (3:58.46) and 200 breast (2:05.49), both just off NCAA records. Leverenz teamed with Cindy Tran, Sara Isakovic and Liv Jensen to set a new NCAA record of 3:28.26 in the 400 medley relay, breaking Arizona's record of 3:28.31 set in 2009.<\/p>\n

USC's Katinka Hosszu finished a highly decorated Pac 12 championship career with wins in the 200 IM (1:52.37), 200 free (1:43.15) and 200 fly (1:52.26).<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Texas A&M women and Texas men dominated the Big 12 conference meet held in Columbia, Mo. <\/p>\n

The Aggie women were led by the NCAA-record setting performance of Breeja Larson, who threw down a sterling time of 57.92 in the prelims of the 100 breast. Larson's swim broke the record of 58.06 set by Arizona's Annie Chandler in 2010. Larson went on to win the 200 breast in a time of 2:06.94 and claim Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet honors. <\/p>\n

Shara Stafford of Missouri earned the Newcomer of the Meet award after racing to wins in the 50, 100 and 200 free.<\/p>\n

Nick D'Innocenzo and Drew Livingston contributed key victories en route to the Longhorns' championship title, earning Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet and Outstanding Diver of the meet awards, respectively. <\/p>\n

D'Innocenzo swam to first place finishes in the 200 IM (1:45.40), 400 IM (3:45.77) and 200 breast (1:55.78) while teammate Livingston dominated the diving well with wins in the one-meter (390.60 points) and platform diving (471.90 points) events. <\/p>\n

The Michigan men captured their 36th overall title at the Big Ten championship meet, held in Iowa City. Ohio State finished second while Indiana was third. <\/p>\n

Kyle Whitaker (200 IM, 1:43.40; 400 IM, 3:41.04) and Daniel Madwed (100 fly, 46.02; 200 fly, 1:42.67) led the Wolverines with two victories apiece. <\/p>\n
