THIS evening, with a global audience watching live on SwimmingWorld.TV, Germantown&#39;s Arthur Frayler nearly bested the National Independent High School record in the boys 500-yard freestyle at the Eastern Interscholastic Swimming and Diving Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Frayler threw down a sterling time of 4:17.96 at Easterns on the campus of La Salle University, drawing a thunderous applause from the crowd after he obliterated Fran Crippen&#39;s meet record of 4:19.54 set back in 2002.
