The third night of action from the 2018 Men’s Big Ten Swimming and Diving Championships from Minnesota\u00a0saw the team race really heat up as Indiana and Michigan are separated by 10 points going into Saturday. The Hoosiers won every event in the pool on Friday night except the 400 IM and 200 free relay that were claimed by Michigan.<\/p>\n

Indiana went 1-2 in three events on Friday night as\u00a0Blake Pieroni\u00a0<\/strong>swam an unshaved 1:31 in the 200 free and\u00a0Ian Finnerty\u00a0<\/strong>swam the second fastest time in the nation this year in the 100 breast. The Hoosiers also got a number of points in diving as that has kept them in the meet with Michigan’s impressive swimming depth.<\/p>\n

Charlie Swanson\u00a0<\/strong>of Michigan won the 400 IM to continue the Michigan tradition in the event as Indiana’s\u00a0Gabriel Fantoni\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Vini Lanza\u00a0<\/strong>took home titles in the 100 back and 100 fly.<\/p>\n
