NEWCOMER Boise State leads the team scoring through day one of the 2012 Mountain West Swimming and Diving Championships at the Oklahoma City Community College Aquatic Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. The Broncos have 108 points through three events, followed by San Diego State in second with 101 points and New Mexico in third with 99 points. UNLV is fourth in the standings with 78 points, followed by Wyoming (76), Colorado State (64), TCU (55) and Air Force (46).<\/p>\n

Wyoming captured its second consecutive women's 200-yard medley relay win at the Mountain West Championship, clocking an NCAA-B qualifying time of 1:38.56 to break the MW all-time record. The Cowgirls set the previous record of 1:39.62 at the 2011 Championships meet.
\nBoise State won its first Mountain West Championship event with a 7:13.40 in the 800-yard freestyle relay. Senior Amber Boucher set a MW 200-yard freestyle record with a split time of 1:45.85 in the first leg of the relay for the Broncos.
\nNew Mexico senior Ashlee Erickson earned her first MW title on the 1-meter springboard, after tallying 311.85 points. San Diego State's Kristen Meier (274.40) and Boise State's Ciera Cortney (272.95) finished second and third, respectively.
\nDay two events begin with the 500-yard freestyle preliminaries at 11 a.m. CT. The finals competition starts at 6 p.m. CT with the 400-yard medley relay. The 2012 MW Swimming and Diving Championships conclude Saturday, February 26.<\/p>\n
