The team scored 351 points. In second was Greely High School with 335 points.<\/p>\n<p>The team from Morse: <strong>Ella Martin<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Haily Harper<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Olivia Harper<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Leah Totman\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 medley relay in 1:50.18. Six seconds behind was Greely&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Courtney Rog<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Elizabeth Domingo<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Maddie Rawnsley<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Kayla Moroney<\/strong>.\u00a0Cape Elizabeth was disqualified in the opening relay.<\/p>\n<p>The eventual champions jumped right back into the mix in the first event. Sophomore\u00a0<strong>Caroline Mahoney\u00a0<\/strong>went out strong and hung on, to win the 200 freestyle in dominant fashion, touching in 1:53.67. Greely&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jaehee Park\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 1:58.93.<\/p>\n<p>Mahoney was later second in the 100 backstroke with a 56.53. Leading the way in that event was Morse&#8217;s sophomore Olivia Harper, touching in 54.64. Harper set\u00a0a new meet and state record, as well as a new Bowdoin College pool mark. The previous meet and state mark was 56.25, swum just last year.<\/p>\n<p>In the very next event, the 100 breaststroke, her sister Haily picked up another state title for Morse, stopping the clock in 1:07.82. Greely&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Courtney Rog\u00a0<\/strong>picked up second place points in 1:09.45. Haily was also third in the 200 IM (2:14.93). Rog was second in that event (2:13.79) while George Stevens Academy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ava Sealander\u00a0<\/strong>earned gold with a 2:09.89.<\/p>\n<p>Olivia Harper&#8217;s other victory of the day was a tight one. In the 100 butterfly she touched in 56.35, just .15 quicker than Sealander in 56.50.<\/p>\n<p>Cape Elizabeth got two wins from junior\u00a0<strong>Olivia Tighe<\/strong>. She set a meet, state, and pool record in the 100 freestyle with a 50.23. Her teammate\u00a0<strong>Alicia Lawrence<\/strong> was second there in 52.28. Morses&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Ella Martin\u00a0<\/strong>touched third (53.53). Cape Elizabeth also added fourth place points from\u00a0<strong>Hope Campbell\u00a0<\/strong>(55.35). Tighe&#8217;s other top finish came in the 500 freestyle with a 5:03.21. Park was runner up (5:29.38).<\/p>\n<p>Lawrence topped the 50 freestyle in 23.79 ahead of Martin (24.48) and Campbell (24.76).\u00a0Greely&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Julia Bisson\u00a0<\/strong>won one meter diving with 396.30 points.<\/p>\n<p>Mahoney, Campbell, Lawrence, and Tighe combined for a 1:36.20 in the 200 freestyle relay. That time was a new state and meet record mark, faster than Morse&#8217;s 1:37.62 in 2017. Morse settled for second in 1:41.03 with the team of Harper,\u00a0<strong>Leah Totman<\/strong>, Harper, and Martin.<\/p>\n<p>Cape Elizabeth put an exclamation point on the end of the meet.
