Dressel has set himself up to go after yet another record in the evening finals session.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from the women&#8217;s and men&#8217;s 100 breast, events on the morning program included the 200 fly and 100 back.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Megan Kingsley\u00a0<\/strong>posted by far the top time in the women&#8217;s 200 fly prelims, coming in at 1:52.62. Only the Stanford duo of\u00a0<strong>Katie Drabot\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong><\/strong><strong>Ella Eastin<\/strong> has been quicker so far this season. Kingsley finished third in the 200 fly at the NCAA meet as a sophomore but struggled with injuries last year before having surgery on both knees after the NCAA championships.<\/p>\n<p>Tennessee&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Meghan Small<\/strong> qualified second but more than a full second back in 1:53.97. Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sharli Brady<\/strong> took third in 1:54.58. Splitting the difference was\u00a0<strong>Fynn Minuth<\/strong>, the South Carolina junior who already won the 500 free. He touched the wall in 51.07, ahead of Texas A&amp;M&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mauro Castillo Luna\u00a0<\/strong>(52.56). That time made Dressel the ninth-fastest performer in history and easily the top swimmer in the country this season.<\/p>\n<p>The South Carolina duo of\u00a0<strong>Itay Goldfaden\u00a0<\/strong>(52.58) and\u00a0<strong>Nils Wich-Glasen\u00a0<\/strong>(52.62) took third and fourth, respectively, and Alabama&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Laurent Bams<\/strong> came in fifth at 52.83.
