UNLV’s Sofia Carnevale<\/strong> won the women’s 100 breast in under one minute to highlight day three of the 2018 Mountain West Swimming and Diving Championships.<\/p>\n

Heading into the final day of competition, Boise State sits in first place with 817 points, followed by Nevada (736.5), San Diego (734.5), Wyoming (657) and Colorado State (493).<\/p>\n

Women’s 400 Medley Relay<\/h2>\n

Boise State began day three with a win in the 400 medley relay, edging out the runner-up by .04.\u00a0Allyson Kleinsorgen\u00a0<\/strong>(53.28),\u00a0Laura Williams\u00a0<\/strong>(1:01.45),\u00a0Emmie Jennings\u00a0<\/strong>(53.05) and\u00a0Abbey Sorensen\u00a0<\/strong>(48.25) touched first in 3:36.03.<\/p>\n

Wyoming took a close second in 3:36.07 while UNLV finished third in 3:36.77.<\/p>\n

San Diego’s\u00a0Mckenna Meyer\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 4:12.64 and her teammate\u00a0Frida Berggren\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 4:13.16.<\/p>\n

San Jose’s\u00a0Brenna Bushey\u00a0<\/strong>took second in 53.21 and Air Force’s\u00a0Elise Hart\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 53.75.<\/p>\n

The Mountain West 200 freestyle title came down to .01 with\u00a0Emma Chard<\/strong> taking the crown. The senior won the event in 1:47.23, just out-touching the runner-up. She still owns the Mountain West meet and all-time record from 2016.<\/p>\n
Nevada’s\u00a0Rebecca Murray\u00a0<\/strong>was a very close second in 1:47.24 while her teammate\u00a0Andrea Cholodovskis Lima\u00a0<\/strong>(1:47.36) finished third.<\/p>\n
Nevada’s\u00a0Diana Sokolowska\u00a0<\/strong>(1:47.79), Boise State’s Cody Evans\u00a0<\/strong>(1:48.38), New Mexico’s\u00a0Adriana Palomino\u00a0<\/strong>(1:48.42), Boise State’s\u00a0Hill Hayley\u00a0<\/strong>(1:48.59) and Wyoming’s\u00a0Kelly Anna Sheldon\u00a0<\/strong>(1:48.95) also competed in the A-final.<\/p>\n
