Li won the 100 fly and split one of the fastest 50 frees ever in the 200 free relay as the Buckeyes won three total events with Li and\u00a0<strong>Meg Bailey\u00a0<\/strong>winning individual titles.<\/p>\n<p>Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lilly King\u00a0<\/strong>also rattled her own American Record she set at this meet a year ago. King beat out one of the fastest 100 breast fields in history with two other girls swimming under 58 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Michigan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Siobhan Haughey\u00a0<\/strong>and Wisconsin&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Beata Nelson\u00a0<\/strong>also won individual titles on Friday night in Columbus a\u00a0the Women&#8217;s Big Ten Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Michigan has put themselves in the driver&#8217;s seat to win a third straight team title while Indiana, Minnesota and Ohio State will be battling for second place.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2018-big-ten-womens-championships-day-three-finals-day-3-ncaa-college-2018-02-16.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Results<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Team Scores:<\/p>\n<pre> Women - Team Rankings - Through Event 14                     \r\n \r\n  1. Li won the 50 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/beata-nelson-near-american-record-highlights-thursday-night-of-big-tens-video\/\" target=\"_blank\">last night<\/a>\u00a0in one of the fastest times ever swum in the event. This time it was from another senior in\u00a0<strong>Meg Bailey\u00a0<\/strong>who won the 400 IM with a 4:04.85. Bailey led from start to finish and had a nice drop from her swim this morning. Bailey held off a strong finish from Penn State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ally McHugh\u00a0<\/strong>(4:06.43) and Ohio State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kristen Romano\u00a0<\/strong>(4:06.90).<\/p>\n<p>Michigan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Rose Bi\u00a0<\/strong>(4:07.75), Minnesota&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Brooke Zeiger\u00a0<\/strong>(4:10.02), Ohio State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Molly Kowal\u00a0<\/strong>(4:10.28), Northwestern&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Calypso Sheridan\u00a0<\/strong>(4:10.48) and Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Samantha Lisy\u00a0<\/strong>(4:10.55) also swam in the championship final.<\/p>\n<p>This is the third straight year Ohio State has won the Big Ten title in this event as\u00a0<strong>Lindsey Clary\u00a0<\/strong>has won the last two titles for the Buckeyes. Haughey led a 1-2-3 finish with teammates\u00a0<strong>Gabby\u00a0<\/strong>(1:42.91) and\u00a0<strong>Catie DeLoof\u00a0<\/strong>(1:43.32). The fourth Michigan swimmer\u00a0<strong>G Ryan\u00a0<\/strong>finished in eighth in 1:46.44.<\/p>\n<p>This is the third year in a row Haughey has won the 200 free as she joins fellow Wolverine\u00a0<strong>Lindsey Smith\u00a0<\/strong>as the only other three-time winner in the event at Big Ten&#8217;s. University of Illinois             91<\/pre>\n<h3>100 Breast<\/h3>\n<p>In one of the most hyped races of the meet, the 100 breast final featured the three fastest women in the nation coming into this season with Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lilly King<\/strong>, Minnesota&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lindsey Kozelsky (Horejsi)\u00a0<\/strong>and Michigan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Miranda Tucker<\/strong> having the three fastest best times. King got the upper hand\u00a0on Friday night in Columbus with a 56.46 to nearly miss the American Record. The record was hers from Big Ten&#8217;s a year ago of 56.30.<\/p>\n<p>Kozelsky finished in second at 57.91 and Tucker was third at 57.93. University of Illinois             91<\/pre>\n<h3>100 Back<\/h3>\n<p>Wisconsin&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Beata Nelson\u00a0<\/strong>became the talk of the town after her near American Record last night in the 100 back, but Nelson ran out of gas on Friday night in Columbus with a 51.05 for her first Big Ten title. Nelson got pressure on the last 25 from Indiana senior\u00a0<strong>Ali Rockett\u00a0<\/strong>(51.41) but held her off.<\/p>\n<p>Nelson was joined by two of her Badger teammates\u00a0<strong>Kathleen Coughlin\u00a0<\/strong>(52.69) and\u00a0<strong>Jess Unicomb\u00a0<\/strong>(52.77) who finished sixth and seventh. That time was an American Record at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Li&#8217;s 20.8 split is one of the fastest all-time in the 50 free as Auburn&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace\u00a0<\/strong>was a 20.80 and\u00a0<strong>Kelsi Worrell\u00a0<\/strong>split a 20.84 in the 2016 NCAA&#8217;s.
