The team scored 320 points. Skyline was second with 200 points. Brighton prevailed on the boys side, scoring 287 points while Cottonwood scored 253.5 points for second.<\/p>\n<h3>Girls<\/h3>\n<p>Cottonwood High won the 200 medley relay in 1:47.78 with the team of\u00a0<strong>Rhyan White<\/strong> (25.12),\u00a0<strong>Emma Walker<\/strong> (31.25),\u00a0<strong>Madison Cutler<\/strong> (26.37), and\u00a0<strong>Makayla Harris\u00a0<\/strong>(25.04).<\/p>\n<p>After her quick backstroke lead off split, White was quick again, winning the 100 fly in 55.04. Another White,\u00a0<strong>Bella White\u00a0<\/strong>of Olympus was runner up in 58.76. Ryan White, who is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/alabama-adds-verbal-commitment-from-national-junior-teamer-rhyan-white\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">headed to the University of Alabama<\/a> in the fall, smashed a 53.55 to dominate the 100 backstroke.<\/p>\n<p>Viewmont&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mariah Maile\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 free in 1:54.35, ahead of\u00a0<strong>Becca Goodson\u00a0<\/strong>of Skyline in 1:55.75. Maile turned in a 51.60 for the 100 freestyle title.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rachel Butler<\/strong>, a junior at Brighton, touched in 2:03.87 for the 200 IM victory. Maple Mountain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Makayla Cazier\u00a0<\/strong>was second (2:06.19). Cazier got the better of Butler in the 500 free, winning the event in 5:02.45 to Butler&#8217;s 5:04.62.<\/p>\n<p>Timpview&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Rachel Oyler\u00a0<\/strong>swam a 23.92 to win the 50 free. West&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Fane Wolfgramm\u00a0<\/strong>was runner up in 24.26. Oyler (51.76) an Wolfgramm (52.76) were second and third in the 100 free.<\/p>\n<p>Viewmont won the 200 freestyle relay with a 1:38.58 (Maile,\u00a0<strong>Kylee Wesemann<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Catherine Bothell<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>MJ Maile<\/strong>) while West was second in 1:39.57.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emma Walker<\/strong>, a Cottonwood sophomore, won the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.53. Her freshman teammate\u00a0<strong>Kennedy Callaway\u00a0<\/strong>out touched Skyline&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caroline Luman\u00a0<\/strong>1:08.43 to 1:08.74 for second place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katelyn Price\u00a0<\/strong>(54.94),\u00a0<strong>Jessica Loyd\u00a0<\/strong>(53.77),\u00a0<strong>Quinn Stephenson<\/strong> (53.65), and White (52.02) won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:34.38.<\/p>\n<h3>Boys<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Tanu Fitisemanu<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jack Binder<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Chase Miyagishima<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Quentin Tyler\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 medley relay for Brighton with a time of 1:36.69. Cottonwood was second in 1:37.06. Binder and Miyagishima went one-two in the 100 fly in times of 51.13 and 52.71.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mitchell Simmons<\/strong>, a senior from West, out touched Provo&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kaden Staker\u00a0<\/strong>1:42.00 to 1:42.40 for the 200 freestyle championship.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blayze Kimble\u00a0<\/strong>of Cottonwood won the 200 IM in 1:55.55.\u00a0<strong>Colin Dailey\u00a0<\/strong>(1:57.56) and\u00a0<strong>Addison Morris\u00a0<\/strong>(1:57.61) were also under two minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Cottonwood senior\u00a0<strong>Christian Simon\u00a0<\/strong>raced to a 21.53 50 freestyle. Second place went to\u00a0<strong>Ian James\u00a0<\/strong>of Wasatch in 21.95. Simon also snagged first in the 100 free with a 46.38. Staker was second (47.60) and James was third (48.30).<\/p>\n<p>The 200 freestyle relay victory also belonged to Brighton.\u00a0<strong>Eric Wagner<\/strong>, Tyler, Miyagishima, and Binder snuck by Springville&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Spencer McQueen<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Cougar Pope<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Kaden Jepperson<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Cameron Green\u00a0<\/strong>1:28.45 to 1:28.52.<\/p>\n<p>Springville&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Cameron Green\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 49.95 to win the 100 back ahead of Olympus&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Talmage Corey\u00a0<\/strong>in 50.65.<\/p>\n<p>With a 3:13.30 Kimble, Dailey,\u00a0<strong>Jacob Ricci<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Christian Simon\u00a0<\/strong>won the 400 freestyle relay for Cottonwood.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2018-utah-5a-high-school-states-results-high-school-2018-02-10.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Full results<\/a><\/h2>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Agon is the proud sponsor of all high school coverage (recruiting, results, state championships, etc.) on SwimmingWorld.com.
