The girls from Fossil Ridge High School took down the National High School record in the 200 medley relay on Saturday afternoon at the 2018 Colorado 5A Girls High School swimming and diving state championships. The team of\u00a0Bayley Stewart<\/strong>,\u00a0Zoe Bartel<\/strong>,\u00a0Coleen Gillilan<\/strong>, and\u00a0Kylee Alons\u00a0<\/strong>turned in a time of 1:38.13.<\/p>\n

That time sets a new overall record, faster than the public school mark of 1:39.25 set by Carmel in 2015.<\/p>\n

It’s also faster than the new Independent School mark of 1:38.77, set just yesterday<\/a> by Harpeth Hall. Harpeth Hall’s mark will remain on the books as the Independent School mark, though, since Fossil Ridge is a public school.<\/p>\n

In yesterday’s prelims the quartet narrowed in on the record, touching in 1:39.68. Tonight, they hit their next gear.<\/p>\n
