For more information about Agon, visit their website\u00a0<\/i><i><a href=\"https:\/\/agonswim.com\/\">AgonSwim.com<\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>At the 2019 Utah High School 4A state championships Desert Hills won the men&#8217;s meet by a narrow margin, with 273 points over Mountain Crest&#8217;s 247. Park City won the women&#8217;s meet with 355 points to Sky View&#8217;s 257 points.<\/p>\n<h3>Women<\/h3>\n<p>Park City led from the get-go.\u00a0<strong>Helena Djunic<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jessi Beyer<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Katie Hale<\/strong>,\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Elise Beller\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 medley relay in 1:49.05.<\/p>\n<p>Djunic, only a freshman, then clocked a 1:53.76 to win the 200 freestyle by four seconds. Beller made it three for three for Park City, winning the 200 IM with a 2:09.16. Hale kept the momentum rolling, winning the 50 freestyle with a 24.13. Also under 25 were\u00a0<strong>Leah Gale\u00a0<\/strong>(24.62) of Orem and\u00a0<strong>Mya Ottenschot\u00a0<\/strong>(24.95) of Desert Hills. Hale cleared a minute in the 100 fly, winning the event in 58.43.<\/p>\n<p>Djunic stopped the clock in 52.50 for the 100 freestyle victory. Sky View&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Megan Brimhall\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 53.94.<\/p>\n<p>After winning the 200 IM, Beller also won the 500 freestyle by five seconds with a 5:13.18.<\/p>\n<p>Desert Hills got a victory in the 200 freestyle relay.\u00a0<strong>Trinity Schimbeck<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Caitlin Romprey<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Molly McCoy<\/strong>, and Ottenschot touched in 1:42.21, four tenths ahead of Sky View in 1:42.66.<\/p>\n<p>Romprey carried that relay momentum into a win in the 100 backstroke. The freshman swam a 58.13. Cedar City&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Elisa Price\u00a0<\/strong>(58.86) and Gale (58.88) were also under 59 seconds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Addison Richards<\/strong>, a sophomore from Orem, won the 100 breaststroke in a 1:07.29.<\/p>\n<p>Park City ended the meet where they began- on the top of the podium- and by a large margin. Hale,\u00a0<strong>Emma Strong-Conklin<\/strong>, Beller, and Djunic swam a 3:35.87 400 freestyle relay to win by seven seconds.<\/p>\n<h3>Men<\/h3>\n<p>Desert Hills won a tight relay to open the meet.\u00a0<strong>Payton Plumb<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Talon Shakespear<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ashton Anderson<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Trevor Larson\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 1:40.26, just quicker than Juan Diego Catholic&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>William Anderson<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Alexander Gustat<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ian Pascual<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>JR Gustat\u00a0<\/strong>in 1:40.38. Lehi High School&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jason Pittard<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Tyler Wilde<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Nic Tronson<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Maxwell Holdsworth\u00a0<\/strong>were also just behind, in third with a 1:40.47.<\/p>\n<p>Hurricane High&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ryan Bunn\u00a0<\/strong>topped the 200 free in 1:43.62. Plumb added to his relay gold with a 200 IM victory in 1:56.32. Park City&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Cole Peterson\u00a0<\/strong>(1:58.52) was runner up.<\/p>\n<p>The 50 freestyle went to\u00a0<strong>Cade Black<\/strong>, a senior at Mountain Crest, in 21.54. On his tail was Park City&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Dennis Djunic\u00a0<\/strong>(21.77), Desert Hills&#8217; Anderson (21.91), and\u00a0<strong>Keegan Wawrzyniak\u00a0<\/strong>(21.92). Black won the 100 free in 47.40, with Wawrzyniak second in 47.82 and Pittard third in 47.92.<\/p>\n<p>Tronson won the 100 fly in 51.77, after swimming the fly leg of Lehi&#8217;s third place medley relay. Bunn was runner up in 51.90 while Sky View&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jake Walters\u00a0<\/strong>finished third (52.26). Walters won the 100 back in 50.67. Payton Plumb was second in 51.18 and Peterson was third (52.49).<\/p>\n<p>Three men were under five minutes in the 500 free: Sky View&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Darwin Anderson\u00a0<\/strong>(4:44.81), Spanish Fork&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Austin Butler\u00a0<\/strong>(4:47.92), and Park City&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Troxel\u00a0<\/strong>(4:49.12).<\/p>\n<p>Anderson,\u00a0Larson,\u00a0<strong>Noah Ashton<\/strong>, and Wawrzyniak swam a 1:28.00 to win the 200 freestyle relay for Desert Hills.<\/p>\n<p>Cedar City&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Garrett Dotson\u00a0<\/strong>broke a minute to win the 100 breaststroke in 59.80.<\/p>\n<p>Desert Hills completed a relay trifecta as Larson, Ashton, Wawrzyniak, and Plumb won the 400 free relay in 3:14.59.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2018-utah-4a-high-school-states-results-high-school-2018-02-09.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Full results.\u00a0<\/a><\/h2>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Agon is the proud sponsor of all high school coverage (recruiting, results, state championships, etc.) on SwimmingWorld.com.
