The second half of the meet will take place Saturday evening.<\/p>\n<h2>Girls<\/h2>\n<p>The girls from Harpeth Hall wasted no time getting rolling, setting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/harpeth-hall-home-of-the-walsh-sisters-demolishes-200-medley-relay-national-independent-school-record\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a new National Independent High School record<\/a> in the 200 medley relay.\u00a0Winning the event by nearly ten seconds,\u00a0<strong>Alex Walsh<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ella Nelson<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Alex Massey<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Gretchen Walsh\u00a0<\/strong>combined for a 1:38.77.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Walsh was back in the very next event, winning the 200 freestyle in 1:45.93. Baylor&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Addison Smith\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 1:47.89. Rounding out the podium was\u00a0<strong>Kalli Chelsvig\u00a0<\/strong>of Ensworth (1:49.32).<\/p>\n<p>Nelson helped Harpeth Hall go three for three on event victories. She held off a late charge from Brentwood Academy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Allie Raab <\/strong>in the 200 IM. Nelson touched in 1:58.31 while Raab, a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/stanford-secures-breaststroker-allie-raabs-verbal-commitment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stanford commit<\/a>, settled for second in 1:58.56. Hardin Valley&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Carissa Armijo\u00a0<\/strong>finished third (2:03.23).<\/p>\n<p>Gretchen Walsh was back again with another impressive performance in the 50 freestyle. The freshman stopped the clock in 22.26, just .02 shy of the National Independent School record of 22.24, set by\u00a0<strong>Maddy Schaefer\u00a0<\/strong>in 2010. Walsh was followed to the wall by her Harpeth Hall teammate\u00a0<strong>Ophelia Pilkinton\u00a0<\/strong>in 22.85.<\/p>\n<p>Station Camp&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Riley Gaines\u00a0<\/strong>topped the 100 fly in 54.16. Runner up honors went to Harpeth Hall&#8217;s\u00a0Massey in 55.71.<\/p>\n<h2>Boys<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Jack Kirby<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Luis Sebastian Weekes<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Zach Althoff<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Piotr Kurleto\u00a0<\/strong>swam a 1:30.56 200 medley relay to win the first event of the meet for Baylor. Their teammate\u00a0<strong>Trey Freeman<\/strong>, a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/high-school-junior-trey-freeman-commits-to-florida-gators\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Florida commit<\/a>, destroyed the 200 freestyle field with a 1:33.06. His time was a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/baylors-trey-freeman-blasts-133-06-200-free-for-national-hs-record\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National High School record<\/a>. \u00a0Brentwood&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Matthew Lattin\u00a0<\/strong>was runner up in 1:40.60.<\/p>\n<p>Weekes kept the momentum rolling for Baylor, finishing in 1:50.22 to win the 200 IM. Chatt. Homeschool&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gabriel Johnson\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 1:51.95.<\/p>\n<p>Three boys cleared 21 seconds in the 50 free: Bearden&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caleb Harrington\u00a0<\/strong>(20.37), West&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Coleman Kredich\u00a0<\/strong>(20.45), and Baylor&#8217;s Kurleto (20.84).<\/p>\n<p>Harrington pulled off a difficult double, touching in 48.36 to win the 100 fly.
