After just missing the world record in semi-finals Masse broke through in finals, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/kylie-masse-gets-over-the-hump-makes-history-for-canada\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">setting a new world mark in 58.10 to become the fastest woman in history<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and becoming Canada\u2019s first female World Champion. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Swimming less than half a second off her world record in early February shows Masse isn\u2019t slowing down, and with the 2018 Commonwealth Games just a few months away expect all eyes to be on
