For more information about Agon, visit their website <a href=\"https:\/\/agonswim.com\/\">AgonSwim.com<\/a>.<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/p>\n<p>At the 2018 Georgia High School Swimming and Diving 6-7A State Championships today the Brookwood Broncos won the 7A boys state title with 404 points, nearly 100 ahead of Lassiter with 304.5 points. The 6A title went to the Dalton Catamounts with 397 points, ahead of Johns Creek with 311 points.<\/p>\n<h2>6A<\/h2>\n<p>The Dalton team used two relay victories and a runner up finish to power to the win. The team of\u00a0<strong>Raul Valdez<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Henry Bethel<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ross Valdez<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Jonathan Shaheen\u00a0<\/strong>combined to win the 200 medley relay in 1:34.90.<\/p>\n<p>Shaheen won the 50 freestyle in 21.26, just edging Johns Creek&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ethan Davey\u00a0<\/strong>(21.29). Ross Valdez won the 500 free with a 4:30.34.<\/p>\n<p>Sprayberry senior\u00a0<strong>Ananda Lim\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 freestyle in 1:37.12 and the 100 in 45.02. Gainesville senior\u00a0<strong>Tanner Doan\u00a0<\/strong>ran away with the 200 IM title (1:50.39) but finished second in the 100 free (46.47). Dalton freshman Bethel was runner up (1:54.37) in that 200 IM.<\/p>\n<p>With a 48.66 Northview&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Cam Auerbach\u00a0<\/strong>dominated the 100 butterfly. Dacula&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Bradley Dunham\u00a0<\/strong>and Johns Creek&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Adrian Iannamico\u00a0<\/strong>were both under 50 seconds in the 100 back, with times of 48.24 and 49.54.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alex Mashburn<\/strong>, Bethel,\u00a0<strong>Ethan Carroll<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Anthony Calderon-Schuler\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 freestyle relay for Dalton in 1:27.62.<\/p>\n<p>It was a tight top trio in the 100 breaststroke, but Gainesville&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Brian Monaghan\u00a0<\/strong>got to the wall first in 57.11 ahead of Dalton freshman Bethel (57.28) and Johns Creek&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Samuel Song\u00a0<\/strong>(57.83).<\/p>\n<p>Johns Creek wrapped up the meet on top as\u00a0<strong>Chase Kennedy<\/strong>,\u00a0Iannamico,\u00a0<strong>Andrew Simmons<\/strong>, and Davey touched in 3:09.86 to win the 400 free relay.<\/p>\n<div class=\"oembed-wrap\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Congratulations to the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Dalton?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Dalton<\/a> Catamounts<br \/> 2018 Swimming &amp; Diving State 6A Boys Champions<br \/>\ud83c\udfca\u200d\u2642\ufe0f  \ud83c\udfc6! <br \/> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GaFarmBureau?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@GaFarmBureau<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/J2Q86Z4q3o\">pic.twitter.com\/J2Q86Z4q3o<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; GHSA (@OfficialGHSA) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/OfficialGHSA\/status\/959977647660036096?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 4, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<h2>7A<\/h2>\n<p>Brookwood led from the get-go as\u00a0<strong>Keegan Walsh<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Clark Grant<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Drew Grier<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Aidan Stoffle\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 medley relay in 1:33.27. Stoffle took home the 100 freestyle title with a 45.94.<\/p>\n<p>Mill Creek sophomore\u00a0<strong>Jake Magahey\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 1:36.11 to win the 200 free. He then won the 500 free by nine seconds with a 4:16.88.<\/p>\n<p>Milton senior\u00a0<strong>Raunak Khosla\u00a0<\/strong>and Collins Hill senior\u00a0<strong>Andrew Winton\u00a0<\/strong>swam away from the field in the 200 IM, touching in 1:46.07 and 1:46.93. Khosla won the 100 fly in 47.71. Winton posted a 55.83 to win the 100 breaststroke. Woodstock&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michael McDowell\u00a0<\/strong>(56.90) touched second.<\/p>\n<p>It was all\u00a0<strong>Brady Fields\u00a0<\/strong>in the 50 free as the Hillgrove senior posted a 20.70. He was also runner up in the 100 fly in 49.55.<\/p>\n<p>In the 200 freestyle relay Grier, Stoffle,\u00a0<strong>Sam Sims<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Dylan Scott\u00a0<\/strong>clocked a 1:26.01 to add another state title for Brookwood. Stoffle then hopped right back in to win the 100 backstroke in 48.98. Lambert&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lleyton Smith\u00a0<\/strong>(49.60) also cleared 50 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Brookwood made it a relay sweep for the day.
