{"id":294135,"date":"2018-02-01T09:13:12","date_gmt":"2018-02-01T16:13:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=294135"},"modified":"2018-02-05T11:51:02","modified_gmt":"2018-02-05T18:51:02","slug":"usa-swimming-athletes-executive-committee-to-host-leadership-summit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/usa-swimming-athletes-executive-committee-to-host-leadership-summit\/","title":{"rendered":"USA Swimming Athletes&#8217; Executive Committee to Host Leadership Summit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The USA Swimming Athletes\u2019 Executive Committee and Athlete Leadership Task Force are hosting the first-ever USA Swimming Leadership Summit in partnership with Gulf Swimming and the University of Houston on April 20-22, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The summit is developed by athletes, for athletes in collaboration with Forward Progress Athletics Consulting to develop an interactive curriculum on leadership values and skills.<\/p>\n<p>The summit will be led by an all-female coaching staff including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sue Chen<\/strong>\u00a0from Nation\u2019s Capital Swim Club<\/li>\n<li><strong>Allison Beebe<\/strong>\u00a0from Santa Clara Swim Club<\/li>\n<li><strong>Crystal Coleman<\/strong>\u00a0from Penn Charter Aquatic Club<\/li>\n<li><strong>Olga Espinosa<\/strong>\u00a0from St. Croix Swim Club<\/li>\n<li><strong>Alexis Keto<\/strong>\u00a0from New Trier Aquatics<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kate Lundsten<\/strong>\u00a0from Aquajets Swim Team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each LSC will send two athlete and one coach to participate in the event.
