her dad, world champion boxer Danny Green, could possibly beat her over 50m freestyle in the pool but certainly no further.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Just one lap and he would have to throw the towel in says Chloe, a 16-year-old Perth City distance swimmer with dreams of one day going to the Olympics, who has bagged two Australian Open Water titles in Adelaide this weekend.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chloe started out on Australia Day with the 16 years National crown over 7.5km and backed up today to take out the five kilometre championship in an all-star field, beating Kawana Waters pair\u00a0<strong>Chloe Gubecka<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Mackenzie Brazier<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Asked what kind of swimmer her dad was, Chloe was quick to say: \u201cI reckon he could beat me over 50m but don\u2019t ask him to turn around and come back\u2026that would probably stop him,\u201d said Chloe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAnd there is no way he would consider 7.5km or 5km in the open water.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chloe, who is now training under notable Perth City Olympic coach\u00a0<strong>Matt McGee<\/strong>, has her sights set one day on going to the Olympic Games.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt would be a dream to go to the Olympics for both pool and open water swimming,\u201d said Green.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chloe will be back in the water again\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1718535884\">tomorrow<\/span>\u00a0in the Mixed Open 4 x1.25km team relay with her Perth City team mates \u2013 trying to defend the title they won last year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She was certainly well supported by fellow Perth City pair\u00a0<strong>Reilly Kennedy\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Nicholas Rollo<\/strong>\u00a0who both won their respective National 5km titles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kennedy won the 18 years National 5km title in 56:55 from Melbourne Vicentre\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Lachlan Schwartz<\/strong>\u00a0(57:27) and Somerset Gold Coast\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Riley Clout<\/strong>\u00a0(57:37) while Rollo won the 19 years in 56:53 from\u00a0<strong>Robbie Dilissen\u00a0<\/strong>(Melbourne Vicentre) 1:00.35 and University of NSW\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Erwan Le Pechoux<\/strong>\u00a0(1:00.49).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To cap a great day for WA, Bunbury\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Kyle Lee<\/strong>\u00a0won the 16 years 5km boys\u00a0 title in 56:51 from\u00a0<strong>William Thorley<\/strong>\u00a0(Hong Kong) in 56:54 and\u00a0<strong>Logan Kaye<\/strong>\u00a0(Carlile) 57:04.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Paralympic golden boy\u00a0<strong>Brenden Hall<\/strong>\u00a0from Lawnton continued his love affair with the ocean when the 24-year-old Caloundra lifesaver won the 5km Multi-Class in 58:28 while Yeronga Park\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Jacquie Davison-McGovern\u00a0<\/strong>won the 14-years girls in\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1718535885\">1:03:16.90<\/span>\u00a0and TSS Aquatics\u00a0<strong>Madisyn Armstrong\u00a0<\/strong>won the 15 years girls from Yeronga Park\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Laura Brosnan<\/strong>\u00a0(1:02.03) and Miami\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Jade Slee<\/strong>(1:02.07).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NSW clubs also had a strong day with multi-talented Newcastle schoolgirl\u00a0<strong>Cassandra Fayers\u00a0<\/strong>(Hunter Swim Club) producing one of the swims of the day to win the 15-years girls 5km in 1:02.55 from\u00a0<strong>Naia Anderson<\/strong>\u00a0(Toowoomba Grammar) 1:04.25 and\u00a0<strong>Ashley Finegan<\/strong>\u00a0(University of NSW) 1:04.27.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fayers is also the NSW State All-Schools Cross Country running champion who is destined for a bright future in whatever sport she chooses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then\u00a0<strong>Matthew Galea\u00a0<\/strong>(Blacktown City) won his first National title producing a strong finish in the 17 years boys to grab the win in 56.50.00 in a blanket finish from University of NSW swimmer\u00a0<strong>Robbie Beal<\/strong>\u00a0(56:50.97) with\u00a0<strong>Byron Kimber<\/strong>\u00a0(Breakers WA) third in 56:54.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There was a quinella for the Blues in the 14 years boys with\u00a0<strong>Henri Carrera<\/strong>\u00a0(Revesby Workers) grabbing the gold in 1:01.31 with Carlile\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Robert Thorpe<\/strong>\u00a0just pouncing for the silver in 1:03.08 a touch ahead of Miami\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Bailey Wellham<\/strong>\u00a0who took the bronze in<span data-term=\"goog_1718535886\">1:03<\/span>;08.01.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And in the Mixed 2.5km Non Championship, junior excellence event it was 13-year-old\u00a0<strong>Breahna<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Burgess<\/strong>\u00a0from the City of Orange who grabbed the win ahead of the boys, taking the win in 33:13
