Check below for a closer look at today&#8217;s action.<\/p>\n<h3>Texas vs. Arizona State<\/h3>\n<p>The University of Texas women&#8217;s swimming and diving teams continued their perfect season with a victory over Arizona State University with a score of\u00a0177-122. The Longhorn men fell the ASU with a score of\u00a0162-138. For a recap of the men&#8217;s meet, click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/arizona-state-upsets-defending-champion-texas-longhorns\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The lady Longhorns won 13 out of 16 total events tonight, which included the very first event, the 200<span class=\"s1\">\u00a0medley relay, where quartet of sophomore <strong>Claire Adams<\/strong>, juniors <strong>Olivia Anderson<\/strong> and <strong>Remedy Rule<\/strong> and senior <strong>Rebecca Millard<\/strong>\u00a0took the win in a time of\u00a01:40.30.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Joanna Evans<\/strong> continued the Longhorn momentum with a victory in the 1000 freestyle with a swift 9:53.29. Right after Anderson nabbed the 200 freestyle in a quick 1:47.70.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Backstroke leader\u00a0Adams took the win in the 100 backstroke with an NCAA &#8216;B&#8217; cut time of 53.22, before she\u00a0topped the field in the 100 freestyle with her 45.58.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Continuing the winning tradition, <strong>Lauren Case<\/strong> took a win in the 200 butterfly with a sub-2:00 time of 1:59.42 while <strong>Quinn Carrozza<\/strong> swam a 1:56.26 for the win in the 200 backstroke.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Evie Pfeifer<\/strong> snuck by the rest of the field in the 500 freestyle with her\u00a04:51.21.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">For complete results, click <a href=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/texassports_com\/documents\/2018\/1\/26\/asu_texas_swim_results.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\">Kansas vs. Arkansas<\/h3>\n<p>The Jayhawks from Kansas University were defeated by the Razorbacks from The University by a score of 180-120.<\/p>\n<p>KU did take a few wins, despite the large loss. Their first win came in the 200 medley relay with the quartet of\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">freshman <strong>Manon Manning<\/strong>, sophomores\u00a0<strong>Haley Downey<\/strong>, <strong>Hayley Bishop<\/strong> and freshman <strong>Lauryn Parrish<\/strong> posted a 1:43.36, about a\u00a0half-second ahead of Arkansas&#8217; &#8216;A&#8217; squad.<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Parrish took the 200 freestyle in a swift time of 1:50.89, which was enough to get by teammate, Jenny Nusbaum who put togehter a 1:51.98.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Backstroke-superstar Manning nabbed\u00a0the 100 backstroke\u00a0where she narrowly missed the pool record with her time of 54.78 while Bishop posted a<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a02:01.43 in the 200-yard butterfly, which was good enough for the win.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">KU Head Coach Clark Campbell told KU Communications he is &#8220;really excited, however, because in a month, we won&#8217;t be as tired, and that comes right in time for the Big 12 Championships \u2013 we should be swimming pretty quick.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Up next for the Jayhawks will be a two-day dual with conference rival Iowa State.<\/p>\n<h3>TCU vs. North Texas<\/h3>\n<p>The\u00a0Texas Christian University women&#8217;s swimming and diving teams\u00a0fell to North Texas by a score of 202-98.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the wide margin of loss, the Horned Forgs were able to secure two victories.
