NC State\u2019s men dominated, finishing ahead by a score of 186 to 109, while the Wolfpack women won a tight affair, 164 to 136.<\/p>\n<p>For the NC State women, the meet was a bounce-back effort after suffering a loss last week at Virginia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hannah Moore <\/strong>swept the 1000 (9:45.80) and 500 free (4:47.52), and three of her teammates picked up two individual wins apiece: <strong>Krista Duffield<\/strong> in the 50 free (22.80) and 100 fly (53.75), <strong>Elise Haan <\/strong>in the 100 (52.88) and 200 back (1:56.02) and <strong>Julia Poole <\/strong>in the 200 breast (2:13.98) and 200 IM (2:00.14).<\/p>\n<p>NC State\u2019s <strong>Madeline Kline <\/strong>took first in 3-meter diving (320.85), and Haan, <strong>Lexie Lupton<\/strong>, <strong>Vasiliki Baka<\/strong> and Duffield closed out the meet with a triumph in the 400 free relay, touching in 3:18.26.<\/p>\n<p>UNC\u2019s women got the meet started with an impressive win in the 200 medley relay. <strong>Caroline Baldwin<\/strong>, <strong>Caroline Hauder<\/strong>, <strong>Emma Cole <\/strong>and <strong>Brooke Bauer <\/strong>touched first by more than a second in 1:38.85.<strong> Zhada Fields <\/strong>then touched out Lupton to win the 200 free, 1:48.19 to 1:48.22, and Hauder dominated the 100 breast (1:01.06).<\/p>\n<p>Baldwin also had a win in the 100 free, where she touched in 49.05 to easily pace the field, while <strong>Bryanna Cameron <\/strong>won the 200 fly (1:58.91) and <strong>Maria Lohman <\/strong>topped 1-meter diving (297.60).<\/p>\n<p>The NC State men, meanwhile, did not lose a single swimming event all day. <strong>Justin Ress <\/strong>headlined with wins in the 200 free (1:36.61) and 100 free (43.42), while <strong>Andreas Vazaios <\/strong>also picked up two first-place finishes, in the 100 back (46.79) and 200 IM (1:45.40).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ryan Held <\/strong>topped the 50 free in 19.66 and took a close second behind teammate <strong>Coleman Stewart <\/strong>in the 100 fly, 47.20 to 47.31. Vazaios, <strong>Jacob Molacek<\/strong>, Held and Ress won the 200 medley relay in 1:26.50, while the team of <strong>Mark McGlaughlin<\/strong>, Held, <strong>Tyler Rice <\/strong>and <strong>Jacob Johnson <\/strong>topped the 400 free relay in 2:54.96.<\/p>\n<p>Other NC State individual winners included <strong>Anton Ipsen <\/strong>in the 1000 free (8:49.49), <strong>Giovanni Izzo <\/strong>in the 100 breast (54.99), <strong>James Bretscher <\/strong>in the 200 fly (1:45.29), <strong>Hennessey Stuart <\/strong>in the 200 back (1:45.37), <strong>Patrick Schwarzenbach<\/strong> in the 200 breast (2:00.59) and <strong>Eric Knowles <\/strong>in the 500 free (4:25.47).<\/p>\n<p>The only two wins for the UNC men came in diving: <strong>Sean Burston<\/strong> won 1-meter (370.95), and <strong>Gregory Duncan <\/strong>took first on 3-meter (408.15).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/sidearm.sites\/unc.sidearmsports.com\/documents\/2018\/1\/26\/mm7results2col.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Full results<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Indiana at Louisville<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Hoosiers swept the Cardinals in Louisville, but <strong>Mallory Comerford <\/strong>and co. put up a strong fight. Comerford won the 200 free in 1:46.81, and she also picked up the top spot in the 100 free, touching in 49.49. She finished second in the 100 fly (54.07) and joined teammates<strong> Lainey Visscher<\/strong>, <strong>Arina Openysheva<\/strong> and <strong>Casey Fanz <\/strong>to win the 400 free relay in 3:20.64.<\/p>\n<p>Openysheva also won the 50 free in 23.07, and <strong>Grace Oglesby<\/strong> won the 200 fly in 1:59.09. <strong>Rachael Bradford-Feldman<\/strong> posted an impressive time of 4:13.76 in the 400 IM, but she finished just behind Indiana superstar <strong>Lilly King<\/strong> (4:13.69).
