Houlie is a member of the South African junior and senior National Teams. Houlia holds South African National Age Group records in breaststroke events for ages 15, 16, and 17.<\/p>\n<p>His top LCM times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 Breast 27.68<\/li>\n<li>100 Breast 1:01.49<\/li>\n<li>200 Breast 2:16.78<\/li>\n<li>200 IM 2:08.01<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Those times convert to SCY times of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 Breast 23.88<\/li>\n<li>100 Breast 53.25<\/li>\n<li>200 Breast 1:58.72<\/li>\n<li>200 IM 1:50.98<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>He shared,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Tennessee is a great fit for the way I am wired. There are so many ways that I can still improve as a swimmer and I know that the environment will bring out the best in me. I already feel part of the Vols family and I can&#8217;t wait to contribute to the team.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Houlie has an extensive swimming resume. He&#8217;s a multiple time South African Junior National Champion, having won the 50 breaststroke the past three years, the 100 and 200 the past two years, and adding a 200 IM victory most recently, in 2017. In 2015 he won the 50, 100, and 200 breaststroke events at the African Junior Championships in Cairo, where he also set Championship records.<\/p>\n<p>At Junior Worlds in Indianapolis this summer Houlie was a finalist in the 50 and 100 breaststrokes.
