January 18.  DENNY Ryther was appointed as chairman of the Uni\u00f3n Americana de Nataci\u00f3n (UANA or the Amateur Swimming Union of the Americas) Technical Open Water Swimming Committee.  His tenure will be from November 2012 to October 2015.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=&quot;http:\/\/openwaterpedia.com\/index.php?title=Denny_Ryther&quot;>Ryther<\/a>, a long-time USA Swimming national open water swim team manager and administrator, will head an esteemed group of experienced open water swimming coaches and administrators from the Americas over the next quadrennial.
