Comerford touched first in the 200 free (1:46.53) and 100 free (49.21) and finished second in the 100 fly. The team of <strong>Alina Kendzior<\/strong>, <strong>Mariia Astashkina<\/strong>, Comerford and <strong>Casey Fanz<\/strong> won the 200 medley relay in 1:39.94.<\/p>\n<p>But the Cardinal women posted just three other wins all day, courtesy of <strong>Grace Oglesby <\/strong>in the 200 fly (1:59.35), Fanz in the 50 free (22.93) and <strong>Michaela Sliney <\/strong>in 1-meter diving (277.20).<\/p>\n<p>Louisville\u2019s men, meanwhile, beat Kentucky for the 10th straight year, finishing with a score of 168.5 to 131.5. Freshman <strong>Daniel Sos <\/strong>swept the 100 (49.31) and 200 back (1:46.11), while his senior teammate <strong>Carlos Claverie <\/strong>won both the 100 (54.92) and 200 breast (2:00.11).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Andrej Barna<\/strong> also picked up two wins, in the 50 (19.89) and 100 free (44.29), while <strong>Nicolas Albiero <\/strong>won the 200 fly in 1:46.72. <strong>Zach Harting<\/strong> picked up the 100 fly win (48.24), and the team of <strong>Matyi Kovacs<\/strong>, Barna, Albiero and Harting won the 400 free relay (2:58.15).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/sidearm.sites\/gocards.com\/documents\/2018\/1\/20\/18_UofL_v_KY_Complete_Results.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Full results<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>North Carolina at Virginia<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Competing for the second straight day against a Triangle area team after splitting with NC State, the Cavaliers dominated the Tar Heels in both the women\u2019s and men\u2019s competitions. UVA won the women\u2019s meet 196 to 104 and the men\u2019s meet by a final score of 192.5 to 101.5.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia\u2019s <strong>Jen Marrkand <\/strong>picked up two wins, in the 200 fly (1:57.07) and 500 free (4:49.01), and also winning two each were <strong>Mary Claire Tansill <\/strong>(100 breast, 1:02.74) and 200 breast (2:14.05) and <strong>Anna Pang<\/strong> (100 back, 53.57) and 100 fly (54.11).<\/p>\n<p>UNC\u2019s <strong>Caroline Baldwin <\/strong>entered the meet as one of the country\u2019s top sprinters, but UVA\u2019s <strong>Caitlin Cooper <\/strong>took her down in the 50 free, 22.13 to 22.19. But Baldwin got some payback in the 100 free, winning in 48.77.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia\u2019s <strong>Morgan Hill<\/strong> was not quite as quick in the 200 free as her 1:44.81 from Friday\u2019s meet, but she comfortably won the 200 free in 1:47.07. <strong>Megan Maroney<\/strong>, who returned to competition in December after missing almost 18 months, got her dual meet win since 2016 with a 1:56.72 in the 200 back.<\/p>\n<p>Other Virginia winners included <strong>Cece Williams <\/strong>in the 1000 free (9:57.82) and <strong>Kylie Towbin <\/strong>in 3-meter diving (355.05). <strong>Abby Richter<\/strong>, <strong>Vivian Tafuto<\/strong>, Pang and Cooper won the 200 medley relay in 1:39.74.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from Baldwin\u2019s 100 free triumph, UNC\u2019s women had three victories on the day. <strong>Maria Lohman <\/strong>won 1-meter diving (288.53), <strong>Caroline Hauder <\/strong>won the 200 IM (1:59.97) and the team of Baldwin, <strong>Emma Cole<\/strong>, <strong>Brooke Bauer <\/strong>and <strong>Maddie Smith<\/strong> won the 400 free relay in 3:21.65.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia\u2019s men were just as dominant as the women, with <strong>Brendan Casey <\/strong>leading the way with victories in the 1000 free (9:09.90) and 200 back (1:46.28). <strong>Zach Fong <\/strong>also won two events, the 200 fly (1:46.53) and 200 IM (1:49.69). <strong>Samuel Schilling <\/strong>won the 200 free (1:38.36), <strong>Joe Clark <\/strong>won the 100 back (48.21) and <strong>James Casey <\/strong>won the 50 free (20.51).<\/p>\n<p>Later in the meet, Virginia got victories from <strong>Ryan Baker <\/strong>in the 100 free (44.63), <strong>Matthew Otto<\/strong> in the 200 breast (1:58.60), <strong>Sam Magnan <\/strong>in the 500 free (4:27.29) and <strong>Bryce Keblish<\/strong> in the 100 fly (47.51).<\/p>\n<p>Clark, <strong>Keefer Barnum<\/strong>, Keblish and <strong>Luke Georgiadis <\/strong>won the 200 medley relay (1:28.02), while Keblish, Clark, Baker and Georgiadis ended the meet with a 400 free relay win (2:58.44).<\/p>\n<p>UNC\u2019s only swimming win came from <strong>Valdas Abaliksta<\/strong> in the 100 breast (54.59), while <strong>Gregory Duncan <\/strong>swept 1-meter (355.58) and 3-meter (345.30) diving.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.virginiasports.com\/livestats\/c-swim\/2017-2018\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Live results<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Notre Dame at Florida State<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Notre Dame completed a sweep of the Seminoles, capping off the two-day meet with final scores of 193-160 on the women\u2019s side and 192-161 on the men\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lindsay<\/strong> <strong>Stone<\/strong> and <strong>Abbie<\/strong> <strong>Dolan<\/strong> each won their second event of the meet for Notre Dame, with Stone winning the 500 free (4:50.98) and Dolan the 100 free (49.91). <strong>Alice Treuth <\/strong>completed the backstroke sweep with a 1:56.28 in the 200 back.<\/p>\n<p>Florida State\u2019s women picked up wins from <strong>Natalie Pierce <\/strong>in the 200 breast (2:14.62), <strong>Tayla Lovemore <\/strong>in the 100 fly (54.60) and <strong>Shelly Drozda <\/strong>in the 200 IM (2:04.81).<strong> Ayla Bonniwell <\/strong>won 3-meter diving with a score of 306.00.<\/p>\n<p>FSU also took first in both women\u2019s relays. <strong>Madeline Cohen<\/strong>\u00b8 Pierce, Lovemore and <strong>Lexi Smith<\/strong> won the 400 medley relay in 3:40.52, and then the team of Lovemore, <strong>Emma Terebo<\/strong>, <strong>Leila Johnston <\/strong>and Smith won the 200 free relay in 1:32.47.<\/p>\n<p>In the men\u2019s meet, <strong>Robby Whitacre <\/strong>won both the 200 back (1:45.87) and 200 IM (1:49.97) for the Fighting Irish, while <strong>Zach Yeadon<\/strong> won the 500 free in 4:21.62 to add to his earlier win in the 1000 free. <strong>Tabahn Afrik <\/strong>won the 100 free (44.62), and <strong>Joseph Coumos <\/strong>won 1-meter diving (327.53). Whitacre, <strong>Steven Shek<\/strong>, <strong>Justin Plaschka <\/strong>and Afrik won the 400 medley relay in 3:14.30.<\/p>\n<p>Florida State\u2019s <strong>Matt Ankerholz<\/strong> won the 200 breast in 2:01.32, and teammate <strong>Kanoa Kaleoaloha <\/strong>won the 100 fly in 47.62. The Noles also dominated the meet-ending 200 free relay, with <strong>Chad Mylin<\/strong>, <strong>Joseph Plechy<\/strong>, <strong>Emir Muratovic <\/strong>and Kaleoaloha combining to swim a time of 1:19.76.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Georgia Tech at South Carolina<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Yellow Jackets picked up a split in Columbia, S.C., against the Gamecocks, with the men winning 168 to 130, while the women\u2019s team lost by a score of 176.5-118.5.<\/p>\n<p>The Georgia Tech men had four double winners in the meet, <strong>Rodrigo Correia <\/strong>won both the 100 (49.28) and 200 back (1:48.06), while <strong>Christian Ferraro <\/strong>won the 200 fly (1:45.92) and 100 fly (48.21). <strong>Noah Harasz<\/strong> took first in the 50 (20.72) and 100 free (45.09), and <strong>Matt Casillas <\/strong>swept 1-meter (346.95) and 3-meter (341.70) diving.<\/p>\n<p>Correia, <strong>Moises Loschi<\/strong>, Ferraro and Harasz won a tight race the 200 medley relay, touching in 1:29.45, and then Correia, Ferraro, Harasz and <strong>Caio Pumputis <\/strong>ended the meet with a triumph in the 400 free relay (3:00.84). Pumputis also had an individual win on the day, touching with the top time of 1:36.74 in the 200 free.<\/p>\n<p>The Georgia Tech women had far less success, scoring only two wins all day. <strong>Megan Young <\/strong>finished atop the field in the 100 back with her time of 55.40, and then <strong>Iris Wang <\/strong>won the 100 free in 50.99.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Virginia Tech, Michigan &amp; Rutgers (women) at Ohio State<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Virginia Tech picked up three\u00a0victories during the four-team meet. For the women,\u00a0<strong>Maggie Gruber\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 back in 53.96, while\u00a0<strong>Ian Ho<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s 50 free in 19.92 and\u00a0<strong>TJ Shinholser\u00a0<\/strong>won 3-meter diving (370.58).<\/p>\n<p>VT&#8217;s women beat Rutgers by a score of 218-82, but both teams were swept by Michigan and Ohio State. For the women, VT lost 224-76 to Michigan and 202-98 to Ohio State, while the men lost 196-104 to Michigan and 207-93 to OSU.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Florida Gulf Coast at Miami<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Hurricane women lost to Florida Gulf Coast by a score of 180-120.
